| I am certainly going to try and fly in a few days early. This will be hubby and my two son's first trip to NYC. I'm sure they would love to see a Yankee's game, but I also need fit in some sightseeing as well. Just waiting to see what hotel prices will be and such. | |

| Jen - anything in particular on your "must see" list? This way we might be able to get group rates on tickets and such - for example, if everyone wants to go on the Circle Line, we might be able to get a group rate. |

| I hope Nina can arrange airfare to come in early for us, I did clear it with Tina before I booked two extra hotel nights. Probably a Yankee's game isn't high on our list. We live close to the Ranger's stadium and can't see the attractive to watch a competitor's game over a Ranger's game? Maybe you have to be male to understand this one. I was thinking of a museum, the zoo in central park, I want to see a 2nd musical. Im sure we will go into a few of the 5th avenue shops. It's our first time to see NYC too, so I wanted to see the sights, but probably not a Yankee's game. I'd rather spend the time doing a Broadway musical. I haven't talked to Nina since I decided about coming in 2 days early, so I'm still in the tentative stage. We are only coming in 2 extra nights, because my parents will object if we stay away too long and didn't want to push my luck. 8 days is probably all I can stay gone. My Dad is now 90 and I'm the only driver, so they can't go anywhere and no errands while I'm gone. | |

Marina, is the Circle Line, the hop on/off tour? I did that a few years ago, and thought it was a pretty good way to see a lot. Will definetly want to go see Lady Liberty, and the Empire State, what else do you guys suggest? My boys will be 17 and 19 next year. | |

| If a dinner cruise or Circle Line Harbor lights sailing is something of interest to those who will be in on June 29, we can certainly see about group rates. Is anyone interested? |

| Oh, I see, Circle line is a boat tour. That might be fun. I guess, I am up for anything! I am just going to have to find a third job to pay for all this! The NBC tour looks good too, and it's cheap! | |

| Been a little crazy around here. We had Thanksgiving, followed a week later with dd's birthday. This week we had 2 school concerts to attend. Next week one more concert & ds's birthday. All of that along with the usual holiday craziness. Get the tree up, decorate the house, finish the shopping...bake some cookies. After ds's birthday (the 19th), it will be downhill to Christmas. Need to get busy with the wrapping now. Just spent the day at the mall so the kids could finish their shopping. Of course, while out I had to look at a few gowns...going to need them for this trip. How do I pack those anyway?! (Not worried about the airline because we will be driving to my mom's house out on Long Island & someone will drive us into the city on the 30th....just need to get them packed to travel in the car). Who knows we might go up early & spend some time at her house & maybe do the NBC studio tour. Still thinking about it. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well & enjoying this holiday season no matter what you celebrate! Towanda | |

| I'm dragging this back up to the top of the postings. I wanted to wish everone a Happy Holiday season whatever one you celebrate. I was out at Macy's when they opened this morning at 7:00 am and finally finished my Christmas shopping. We are in the deep freeze here in Chicago (currently -4) and I'm glad to be inside out of the negative temperatures. I'm on vacation this week and this is the first time in the past few years that I'm taking time off of work and not cruising! I had 3 vacation days left to use or lose. I would have loved to been able to carry them over to next year but unless you have to work for a client (i.e. billable) it's not allowed at my company. In 8 years I was able to carry vacation time over once due to a government project due by year end. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. |

| OK, it took me until now to FINALLY find this thread! SO...here I am. A VERY happy joiner of the July 1st QM2 cruise! It is my absolutely favorite ship on the ocean (at least of all the ones I've ever been on, which is quite a few). My husband and I can't wait to get back on her and eat those fabulous fish and chips in the pub! ;-)
I'm sure it will be quite here today, but wishing everyone a great Christmas and Hunnukah (spelling?).
Looking forward to meeting everyone in person in only 7 months! :-)
