I'm back from visiting Carmen and picking out/up my birthday present (makes it easier on DH as he was prone to things like telescopes and Clive Cussler books in the early days). She ate two plates of food (covered in baby food, the techs know how to do it right) and one tech told me that she had sat up briefly last night. She started to cry when I left - absolutely heartrending (she never cries).

I got myself a new pair of diamond studs for my birthday - I lost my other pair:affraid: . DH was resisting filing an insurance claim (for no good reason that I can see, they were pricey), but I think today's credit card receipt will spur him into action.

That sux about Pearl Vision.

Oh, and my preventative solution for Noro and other germs is to sanitize from the inside out. <hic>

Packing is DONE, all weighed and zipped, well sort of. Weighed and zipped the evening stuff and then took the hangers back out and everything is hanging on the door jam.

Need 2 more TSA approved locks. The new duffles have 2 zippered sections.... Everything is tagged and ready to lock.

Just have my carry on camera, binocs, book etc and where's Martha: I WANT TO GO NOW!

OK, here's what I have left to do:
Saturday: Power clean and go to a 70th B-Day party
Sunday: close the pool (I hate that day) and pick MIL up at the train station
Monday: Hair and nails after work
Tuesday: Check the list over and over and over again, zip evening clothes in bag
Wednesday morning: vacuum one more time and give Murphy a bath
Wednesday afternoon: BOARD PLANE AND START VACATION

BTW, is anyone packing sunscreen? I put one small bottle of face lotion in, but that's all...

nahhhh...no sunscreen....this WHITE girl needs some color.....the surgery zapped my tan away!!....I'm sooo pale and hate looking in the mirror.......waiting for my tanning cream to kick in!

Here is what she said in response to a question about a table on your balcony.......

"If Not in a GS + then may I suggest you sail on Celebrity in a Concierge Class stateroom with a bottle of bubbly on ice greeting you. A table for 4 dressed just like the dining room table, with all meals served out there. That was the plus for them. And you don't have to be Elite as we were.

Then we sail as Diamonds on RCCL and we get a tiny table for 2 drinks. Not even coffee & danish fit. So the coffeetable went out there with the tiny table as the coffeetable inside. Even our Steward could not get us anything bigger with chairs. So that made it great for the dining room but no lunch on port days, so room service wins on the coffetable outside. Still is quiet eating with a great view."

I have a feeling that she is not going to see what jul posted about the C&A gifts. I don't think she reads that far back..........she's only up on current events.
