| I am sooo looking forward to dinner tonight (more so than usual, anyway, LOL). I put together Susan's Mediterranean chicken in the crockpot and it's simmering away on low while I'm here pretending to work. It smelled yummy when I left the house, and I'm afraid the poor dogs will go nuts with the aroma! The onesoles do look cute. I need something with a back on it, though, since I try not to bring anything that I can't dance in, other than some flip flops for the pool. | |

| Woo Hoo! That's great Ginny! I just did the booking form over the internet, I wasn't able to reach by phone either. If you take the QM2 sailing for your free cruise we can all sail together even sooner! | |

Tell me about the QM2 cruise, where is it going out of and what ports?

| Jen did you book hubby and you are kids as well? Wish Liz could come with me on the Oasis as it is her birthday and we always cruise for that. However since she is a teacher she is unable to take time off without losing a paycheck. | |

| Ginny, I just booked hubby and me for now, I didn't want to shell out to much more money right now. I figure I can always add them later.
You're right there wasn't a submit button, I wonder if mine went thru?

| Evening all............well I just finished watching DWTS and something has to be done about CL. She reminded me of when we went to visit my uncle in the nursing home................course, some of those folks could move better than she does. OMG......what is America thinking when they keep voting her through!
Oh, can somebody please re-post that Med. chicken dish again. I seem to have misplaced it.
Night all..................................

| Susan Lucci isn't much better! She moves like a stick.......I wouldn't have expected that for someone so tiny but I guess she just doesn't have any rhythm....... Like the one with Kym .....or Brooke or the guy with Julianne......so far anyhow.....and that's only if I can make it thru the hour without getting irritated and changing it!!! j | |

| OMG, the chicken is fabulous! Thankyouthankyouthankyou, Susan! Here's the recipe, Patti. The notes in parentheses are Susan's. My only change was that I took everything out and defatted the juices, then put it back in to finish. And I didn't have tapioca, so I used a little cornstarch to thicken it up. It's soooo good!
8 Weight Watcher points per serving without the pasta (I counted two thighs in a serving, piglet that I am).
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms 1 can 14.5 oz whole tomatoes, drained and cut up (but I substituted diced with oregano, basil and onion flavored and included the juice and it was fine!) 6 oz jar of marinated artichoke hearts ( I also added a can of plain hearts too!) 2.5 oz can of sliced black olives drained (the sliced ones seem to melt in the mix, so I used whole olives this time and like that better....) 3 tablespoons of instant tapicoa (this helps thicken the sauce) 2-2.5 lbs skinless boneless chicken thighs 1 tablespoon dry italian seasoning 3/4 cup chicken broth 1/4 cup white wine (or use more chicken broth) 6 oz cooked drained pasta of your choice (recipe calls for linguine, but I like shells or spirals better, I think they absorb the liquid better)
Put all the veggies in the bottom of the crock pot, include the marinade liquid from the artichoke hearts. Sprinkle the tapioca on top. Then place the chicken on top of that and add the wine and broth. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning on top and cook.
Cook 7 hours on low or 3.5 hours on high
30 minutes before the cook time is up, cook up the pasta, drain and add to the crockpot. I usually leave the pasta quite el dente so it absorbs the juices more. Stir everything together and I usually turn the temp to high for 30 mins. ENJOY

| Received a call from Crown and Anchor today regarding the Mariner of the Seas for August 30, 2009. RC has decided to cancel the member's cruise and concentrate on the Mariner around the horn group. So because I only booked it due to it being a member cruise and at my back door, I contacted the TA that the group booking was through and requested my booking be canceled. I am still booked for April 19 and June 21, 2009 on the Mariner. I am getting really excited about going on the Oasis. Wish I could take Alex with me because it would be so much fun for him, but I can't justify his missing a week of school in his freshman year. Jen, I wish you were going to be on the Mariner in June, but understand that you can't Hey a 15 night cruise in December is so cool So who else is going to join us on the Oasis over Halloween in 2010? We could make it a great reunion cruise. | |

| Morning all, very cold here while we did not have snow (it is Dallas) our temp was only 31 and this early in the season that's pretty cold. I left work early yesterday and stopped for groceries bought what remaining supplies I needed for the Med Chicken figured I'd make that tomorrow for supper. Without the olives since John does not care for them, I know that's what makes it Med Chicken but it has Italian seasoning so it'll work. I also bought frozen artichoke hearts instead canned hearts. Looking forward to having supper almost done when I get home. Jean what type of pasta did you use? I have a bag of the tri-type pasta figured I use it since it's what I have on hand. 10 DAYS TO GO! I WANT TO GO NOW! d | |
