Radiance 9-14-07 Polar Bear Express "Special"!

I can not believe what I did this time. Patti remember when I was booked on the Hawaii Radiance Cruise that you just returned from? Well I made hotel reservations and when I canceled the cruise I forgot to cancel the hotel! Today I was opening my cc statement and thought someone had committed fraud, well after calling the cc company and speaking with the fraud dept............... in the middle of call I remember I had booked the hotel and never canceled. I am so at myself. However once can always learn a lesson right? Mine is that I need to stop booking cruises and stay home.

Oh Ginny.........that sucks.........I'm always worried about doing that. I tend to make all my res so far ahead that I too forget what I've done!

Did you try calling the hotel and pleading nicely with them??.....Don't you have some good reason as to why you had to canx that they might forgive ya??

Good Evening SPB's. Been in and out all day. Just got done watching TAR. Everything is running late tonight. It was really chilly this morning and we've had the heat on a little. We're supposed to have frost tonight. Brrrrrr

I'm going to try the chicken recipe it sounds yummy all except the olives so I'll just leave them out. I'm sure it'll be fine.

We just booked our airline tix to go to Chicago. DDIL will be induced on the 22nd if she doesn't go before so we're headed out on Nov 1st for about 10 days. Can't wait. Another little one to love.

Ginny so sorry about the Hotel room. Maybe like Jul says, you can plead with them.

I survived the Scrapbook Expo! We had a really great time, I bought a new metal embossing set that was kinda cool.

I think I am pretty much over the crud I had, thank goodness!

Jill we are not to far from Davis, probably about 40 minutes. We pass by there on the way to Sacramento.

It cooled down here last night and today, so I made Pecan crusted chicken, stuffing, green beans and cranberry sauce for dinner, and Pumpkin ice cream for dessert. Was trying to teach my Mom how to use the CC Boards while I was cooking. Without much luck.

I did call the hotel and was told I would need to speak to the accounting manager. I am going to call them again tomorrow. I just feel really dumb.

Sheila........soo glad ur gonna get to go to see the new wee one when born........We are soooo blessed and realize it that ours live 2 doors away.....a day without hearing their voices or getting a hug is definitely a cranky day. Mornin' all another beatiful day in Dallas going to be in the mid 80's.

I spent the entire weekend working some little problem for work, was up Sat at 2 am fixing a problem then up early yesterday and than again last night. When I got in this morning the boss says hey you really need a vacation don't you? I said yeah it's the only way I can get away! I have a list of things to do before I do the list of things I really need to do. I guess that's called job security.

Well Ginny check your cruise history because we booked and then cancelled a circle Hawaii and it's showing up on our cruise history. We're waiting to see if once it's completed they'll give us the points?!?. Someone did a good a job of fixing the cruise history.

DD just called from specialist office and the boys are 5#5 oz and 5#7oz....YIKEs, guess she isn't going to need preemie outfits! She had only bought 3 each and left tags on just in case they were over 5#....

Now she's more than ready to just have them since they are in good weight and breathing too........tick tock tick tock.....(or as dh says---hurry up and wait)

Will be a hot one today and Santa Ana Winds are suppose to kick up again in the next day or so. GS is home from school with aches and sore throat. I put him to work shredding stuff.

I am looking over my cruises and matching up refunds and such. Found that a C&A coupon I had for my April 19, 2009 Mariner cruise was applied incorrectly. I had an oceanview and only the $75.00 was given on invoice. Now I have upgraded to a hump cabin and so I should have the $150.00. I hope with the new rules it won't kick the whole thing out. Because everything was applied before the rules took effect. I have Next cruise booking, Shareholder credit and C&A coupon, along with TA OBC. It sure helps since I have to pay for two people, but then I get all the OBC and don't have to share it.

Thanks everyone for you kind words. I will be calling this morning. I want to wait a little bit so I don't get the account manager as they are dealing with the morning rush of questions/problems.

Ginny, sorry to hear about the hotel situation. I would just call and being your sweet self, plead your case.

Jill, was rooting all the way for the Rays.............as I do not like the Sox. Was hoping that they weren't going to do to the Rays what they did to the Indians last year............be down 4 games and then come back to win it all.

Great News!!!!!!!! I just finished talking with the account manager who was kind enough to give me a 50% refund. He didn't have to do anything and so I feel very fortunate that he responded with the 50%.

I have decided to cancel my August 30th Mariner Cruise, still need to contact TA. While it is a member's cruise and sure to be special I really need to cut back. I am hopeful to keep my April Mariner cruise but will see how things go. I will need to contact the TA who holds the bookings and I know they wince every time I call or e-mail.

What is really bad is that I discovered in talking with C&A that I have three next cruise booking just floating out there. If I hadn't gone through my folders this morning I would have been seating on them even longer. This is crazy and since I can't just cancel them I will have to book something and cancel that way. With being unable to combine ncb and shareholder credit now there is no sense to keeping them. I can get the money back in my pocket rather then RC.

Virginia, how nice of the hotel to give you a partial refund!

I had to call American Express today. I make my payments online, and the last one didn't "stick" in the system. So they whacked me with finance charges and a late payment fee. I don't print out the confirmations, since the whole point is to reduce paperwork, so of course I can't prove that I queued up the payment. The rep said he would reverse the charges, but I haven't seen it yet. We'll see if he follows through.

Hi all...................sorry to be MIA,but with Dennis home, we've been busy running around.............went to dinner last night..........his folks treated us to Carabbas.....then we came back here and I drank way too much wine.......so I didnt last too long last night.........

Today we went and bought some new flowers for the garden and went to breakfast............hes now and will head to the Keys around 9 tonite............

I have all my Sunday night shows to watch yest,since I thru them ALL...........
