I haven't really been keeping up with the happenings on CC, so can't really comment. I was hoping to make Diamond by 2010 but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I need some advice and opinions from all of you. I think I mentioned awhile ago that we were switched to a windowless conference room for my scrapbooking cruise. So I was thinking of decorating the room! I found some cruise ship backdrops on this website, and was hoping you guys would take a look and tell me if they are to hokey or if it will look good?

Mar, thanks for emailing Rachel. As others have said, should have done that also. I know that she reads CC, but it's always good to bring something to her attention that she might miss.

Well, we went to our cruise party last night and it was a scream. Especially the question and answer period. Here are a few choice questions..........

1. Do cruise ships have movie theater's? If they do, do they show current movies that are showing in theater's across the country?

2. Why is the music so loud during the shows. Do they think that people are deaf?

Now, there was one guy who claimed that he talked to someone who just got off a cruise. Have no idea what ship he was on, but he said that this guy told him that when they were in port, they moved all the slot machines out of the casino and made it into an Art gallery!!

Man, those folks are really getting all worked up over nothing. And I also came to the defense of Marilyn's post. That FL Cruiser is a real piece of work. Have had many chats with him/her and they are very opinionated!

Ok, looks like some of the responses to CCC's post about the "one-night" RCCL cruises is gone.

I have to agree with question #2 - at the last few production shows we've seen the singers really needed to shout to be heard, and the band still drowned them out on some songs.

Jen, I'm not crazy about that backdrop - I think it would just remind me of the view that isn't there. The room really won't be so bad once you're all in there with your stuff. Maybe you can do some impromptu wall hangings instead!

Yea, I was afraid of that. Plus the rolls might be cumbersome to haul onboard. Maybe I will just do a banner.

I only posted what Rachel said in order to calm everyone down...not to discredit anyone...people were getting quite upset....but seems like some just wanted to hang on no matter what the truth was! Especially a couple of guys....what grouches...hate to be one of their wives!

The problem, as I see it, is somebody hears something and right away has to be the first one to "spread the word"!! Unfortunately, that leads to many misconceptions of the facts.......which ultimately leads to thrashing on the boards.

But have you noticed not too many more comments on the post from Marilyn........Im very surprised.........they seem to just be ignoring it........

So glad CCC found a cheap way to get to the port..........really makes my day..

Yes, I was almost ready to tell her that I'd call my sister-in-law in Jersey City and for the right price she'd pick her up and do a drive by of the port.

It's been a long day, some how everyone knows when you're going on vacation and all the stuff that has been sitting on their desks is now sitting on mine and they want it NOW.

Get to pick of my new specs tonight! I don't know why I'm excited I only wear them to drive at night and I'll use them at the shows.

Yes, I noticed that also.......oh well, at least the ones that are important know what's going on.

Incidentally, yes she did find this great deal of $12pp OW or $48 R/T (she even got the math right, must have used a calculator)!! But her last comment was......."much cheaper than NCL transfers". NCL doesn't offer transfers when you arrive in Newark! Am I missing something here????

Jill have a wonderful cruise . Hello Ladies, haven't posted much. I am working on final plans for the remodel of kitchen, masterbath and office. It will be started I think the last week of January. Did spend all day this past Monday at Nancy's making valances for the church fellowship hall and enjoying homemade turkey soup. yummy!

Interesting reading the posting on C&A and wonder why people don't read past the post and understand that it is just someone talking not fact until released by RCCL. But I do appreciate that Mar went to the source, thank you.

Just plain cold here but that is all.

Very cold here today, didn't get out of the 40's and weather folks are mentioning snow for us on Tuesday.

That's the good news...

The bad news...

We were burglarized yesterday. Long story but besides some of my jewery, (fortunately NOT the REALLY Good Stuff) new camera, and some cash...THE WORST HAPPENED...They took my passport and my birth certificate! Will take some time to see what else is missing.
Dumb me had the b/c with the passport. Had to call and report the passport stolen, and I now have to get a new certified b/c in order to get the passport. Martha may be doing the Monarch without me. The back part of the house (bedrooms) we tossed upside down, drawers emptied and the little $%#$%^ scribbled their horrible remarks on my bedroom door. The police don't think they got any good prints, but I'm still shaking in my boots. Martha is the calm sister. Still looking at the clothes they threw all over, but will have to start sorting through that pile. Anyway, had to vent to the most supportive people I know!

Think I'll go check what CCC has been up to...usually good for a laugh, and I do need a good one!

Kathy, Grandeur was a lot of fun. Dan Dan the Party Man is pretty funny and a good CD. All the staff were very efficient and friendly. We had one of the best wait staff teams we've ever had. The "Singers and Dancers" were good (not the best) and the guest performers were a little weak IMHO but enjoyable nevertheless. A lot of the normal activities are pared down on a 5 day but all we really wanted was a relaxing 5 days of warmth and that is what we got. Captain Rob is as funny as ever with his noon talks. We did have a very dramatic helicopter transfer of a medical emergency and without a helicopter deck it was done by winches. The ship handled it very well. If you have questions I'll try to answer them.

Chris--how very scary for you.......glad to hear you're both ok....any idea at all who did that?? Neighborhood punks??? Think you need a dog.....they are very good deterents.....Im really sorry you had that happen..........

Kathy we didn't go to Key West. We had a day at sea then Cozumel and Belize and a day at sea and back to Tampa. Sailaway was a bit overcast but ended with a lovely sunset anyway. We had a nice sea day and a hot days in Cozumel and Belize then a mixed bag and heavier seas on the way back in.

BTW we did leave Tampa on time however we were delayed boarding because the ship hit fog on the way in so disemabarking was delayed. No probs for us, we just went to Channelside and had lunch and Happy Hour drinks then floated onboard about 2pm.

On the EN,they give the crystal out to those with 20 credits!! I was on there for my30th and was all excited to get mine........but then my friend(with 20) got one too............With the cruises I have booked,my 40th crystal will be on the Monarch......UNLESS I book something before that or upgrade on another,,,,

Kathy, Our friends had gotten a crystal for 20 cruise credits so we were excited to think we might get one on Grandeur but we didn't. We asked the LA and she said you have to be D+ and get to 30 before you start getting them. So once again mixed messages. A phone call to C&A said 20 when I inquired before the cruise.
