| I'm in on this one too.......Can't wait for these cruises......... Like Jen I'm a RCL cruiser being converted?!?!?! Typically a creature of habit! Sounds like the July 4th and Cmas cruise are going to be a great time. I was worried about the roughness of the water but I think you guys have relieved me of that. I don't remember seeing the answer but is capris ok for daytime??? jul | |

| I expect to be on this cruise as well and will most likely bring my grandson. Have never cruised on a Cunard Ship so it will be interesting to experience the difference. Have been on Holland American, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Princess and American Hawaiian Cruise Line.
Grandson and I will be getting off the Mariner of the Seas on June 28th come home to do Laundry and repack.
I have been to New York once when I was in the third grade to visit grandparents who lived in Wantaug (sp) Long Island. Remember going to the Empire State Bldg. and automats where you put money in to get food. Very excited to have the chance to visit again and share it with my grandson.
Hope we can arrive on the 29th just to allow time to adjust and see a little of the city.

| We are thinking of joining you. Ill be travelling with my sister. I think we went thru NY when I was a teen and when I was in my 20s, I worked for Braniff and we took the turn around flight because we could fly in first class and it was a steak dinner and free drinks. When I got to NYC I ran to touch the grass, which was further than you would think, lots of concrete. So, this will really be my first time in NYC. I havent yet broken the news to my parents that we want to leave the state. Im the one who drives them around so I cant be gone as long or often as Id like. That being said if we go on this trip, it will be 5 cruises in 2009. It sounds like a dynomite trip to me. | |

| Hi all,
Just popping on to say hello and welcome our newest cruisers joining us for our 4th of July sailing. Nina and I are working hard to make sure you have a fun and memorable time (in the best possible way of course). And, yes, I'll be on this sailing and the Christmas sailing too!

| Hi Everyone! Glad to see some new people on the boards! I'm normally on here lots more than I have been usually but you all have been keeping me busy booking! Andy, I'll be organizing lots of little activities in addition to the main ones to allow for everyone to interact and get to know each other Don't forget we still have the shore excursions too! I'm getting a better idea of our numbers now that more people have been able to book so will be rolling those out hopefully before December. I'm trying to have as much done before I go on pre-maternity leave (working only half days to rest up) starting mid-December. I'll make an official announcement about this a little later but once the baby comes I will be on full maternity leave (Not really working at all unless there is an emergency or something urgent) for one month from the day the baby is born. | |

| Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be going on this cruise! We've only cruised NCL so far, so this will be our first "out of our Freestyle-comfort-zone " experience. I am really looking forward to the Cunard Experience! I'm just learning my way around the Cruise Freeks site and I really love all the different opportunites for cruising on here. ...now, if I could just retire early with $$$ for cruising.... LOL This is going to be FUN! :-) Pamela | |

| HI Andy, My husband was there a couple of years ago with work (something about some high rise and the air conditioner units in the multi-millions $ condos there - where they shot some scenes from a movie that The Rock was in?) Anyway.... he said that Cheers that he went to was near the harbor - but he wanted to go to the original Cheers..would that be possible, given the time frame that we are there? Thanks! Pamela | |

| No we haven't, can't seem to agree on anything!! Any suggestions? Our daughters are named Arlana & Evalynn so I want something that is not too modern and that will flow with theirs. We've been through the "10,000 Baby Names" book 3 times! If we don't agree on a name before he is born I'm just going to name him Cunard after all the fan fare and if the poor lad suffers or the family snickers because of my job who cares. I'll have given up by then! | |

I'll have given up by then! Hmm... I run into a lot of baby names working in family court, so here are some both original and common that might work well, in no particular order- Theodore Victor Hayden Colby Carter Sebastian Samuel (if you really want to go with the Cunard theme) Lucien Damien Vincent Xavier (cool nickname "Exie") or if you want to stick with vowel names, as your daughters- Owen Alexander Easton Edward Ivan Addison Sounds like a great idea for another contest

| Baby names.... Always a difficult thing to decide on!! Only have 2 suggestions: Nicholas (just love the name, but got nixed because I was due too close to Christmas. Dh didn't want him having the St Nick thing. He was born 12/19) Thomas (couldn't use that either because our last name is Collins. He would then be Tom Collins . Never had the drink, but I hear they're not bad...just not a good name for a kid!) Towanda | |

| Nina, how about going in a different direction? For example, name him after one of the Grandfathers or both. Another idea is to give him a good solid Dutch first name to go with his surname. And, if neither of those work, I do like the suggestion of Nick |

| Andrew is a good solid name, although I believe it's Greek in origin. Have you thought about a Biblical name? For example, Noah. | |

I think you're right about the origin... "Andras" is Greek for man or husband.
