How many people are coming into Manhattan for two nights? Maybe we can get some type of group dinner organized, unless everyone would rather be on their own. You mean for the night of June 29th? Not a bad idea but, I don't know how many people will actually be in on the 29th. |

| Question to the TA, if I don't win the contest - how long before this sailing gets very booked up and I don't stand a chance at getting a cabin. I'm STILL waiting for approval for these dates off from work. | |

Marina, Nick and I both have family coming in for the 4th for the cruise, we'd go broke paying for hotels, so, our plan is just to meet up with everyone for whatever activities are planned for the days and evenings.

It depends what type of cabin you are hoping for. If you are not picky and will take anything regardless of location or grade then you would technically have until I A. Fill all our group space. B. The Ship sells out or C. I finalize the group in April of next year (provided I still have space left over at that point) Ideally, I would recommend booking no later than January as that is when the majority of people really settle down to booking and space starts to disappear.

Thank you Leanna! I posted it for those guessing if I am having a girl or boy. I know sometimes you just have to "see" the belly! I took it on my recent crossing to send to my hubby. He was feeling very bummed that he was missing getting to see me dressed up instead of being in comfy preggo wear all the time. I love the dress and am considering having it altered to fit me even after the baby is born

You listen to me young lady, if you lose all that weight you're going to be a knock-out and your outer beauty will match your inner beauty! Don't give up and if you achieve your goal, I promise to be your dance partner at Christmas for the entire trip! |

| Hi to all. I am one of the lucky cruise winners and will be cruising with my husband. I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself. We’re Barb and Don and we live in Morton Grove, IL, which is a suburb about 10 minutes from Chicago. We have cruised with many times with Royal Caribbean and this will be our first cruise on a different line since our first cruise (and only) cruise on Carnival. I did meet Kathy in the Concierge lounge on the Jewel of the Seas last November. An my husband took her group pictures the last night in the Schooner bar with about 10 to 15 different cameras, how did those turn out?
I work for engineering and testing firm as an administrative assistant (which explains all of my typos) and Don works in the street department for one of the neighboring suburbs.
Other than the Caribbean we have cruised to Alaska, the Pacific Coast, and Trans Atlantic. With my personal favorite being Alaska followed by Trans Atlantic. This will be our first cruise up the East Coast and our first time in New York.
For those who haven’t seen it Spamalot is a fantastic play, especially if you are a Monty Python fan. We saw the Chicago production and are looking forward to seeing it again on Broadway.
I am looking forward to cruising on a more traditional cruise line and can’t believe I actually won. I was trying to think of the largest prize I have ever won outside of a casino and the only thing I can come up with is a $25 American Express gift card from a health fair at work. Now I think I need to go out and buy a lottery ticket! |

| Hi Barb! Welcome to our Cunard Family here on Cruise Freeks! I'm Eddie from NJ and, I'll be cruising with my wife Maria (Screen Name on here: Eddie's Wife). Our adult "kids" still haven't committed to joining us for the 4th of July but, they'll be with us for the Christmas sailing. If you have any questions please don't be afraid to ask! We all were new to Cunard at one point and, we have a great bunch of people in here. Just watch out for Nick (he's our group teaser) and Patrick (our group ladies man) So glad you're joining us! | |

| Hello All, Another due date winner here.... WOW! That's all I can say. Still in shock! Hands were shaking when I saw that e-mail in my inbox! DH & I will be joining you all. We have been on 7 Carnival cruises & have enjoyed them all. Our most recent just a couple of weeks ago...with the kids for the first time. They had a great time & can't wait until they can go again! We have sailed from FL & once from CA, so leaving from NY will be a treat. Born & raised on Long Island (We live in PA...about 35 miles from Philly) and truly love all of the area bridges...hoping we sail under one of them! We have never done the Canada itenerary, so new ports of call as well. We have family in the Boston area, so have been there, but not as a cruise passenger. I'm sure coming from a Carnival experience, Cunard & the QM2 will be a truly different experience. Definitely looking forward to it. Any pointers for a first timer? Towanda | |

| Hi all,
Yet another due date winner here.
My wife Jean and I sailed the QM2 last October for a 10-day Caribbean cruise, so this will be our second time onboard. We will be booking a second cabin to bring our 3 kids with us. It should be a great time, especially the fireworks in Boston Harbor.
I'm also one of the official travel agents on Cruise Freeks, and would like to put in a plug here for the Cruise Freek's Mariner of the Seas cruise on 10/11/2009 roundtrip LA to Puerto vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. It would be nice to see some of you on that cruise with me as well.

| Hi Steve and Towanda,
Welcome to the Cunard threads! And, Towanda, there are similarities and yes there are differences. The activities on Cunard are more intellectual in nature - lectures and shows at the Planetarium will replace things like Bedtime Story and the best legs contest. One thing Carnival and Cunard share in common are afternoon tea, Cunard just takes it up several levels to British standards.
Steve, I keep looking at your cruise on the West coast. I have to admit, I'm tempted, how long do you have the cabins before I have to make a real decision?
Lastly, to everyone, there are one or two posters in here and, you'll quickly learn who they are - tend to be Cunard loyalists and think that QE2 is "the only ship" and that "Transatlantic" crossing are the only sailings and, they will try to belittle others. Please take it from someone who has been on Cunard for everything from Holiday sailings in the Caribbean on QM2 to Transatlantic crossing on QE2 - these people DO NOt represent the majority of people who sail Cunard. Yes, there are some as passionate and opinionated as the one or two on here but, again, these types are few and far between. And, personally, I hope they go into retirement with QE2!

| Andy, I think I know who you are refering to.He's the guy who does not like the idea of a tandem crossing between the QM2 and the new Cruise Ship Queen Elizabeth in the Autumn of 2010.If he does not like that idea fine.No one is forcing him aboard either ship.Let those like me who missed out on the tandem crossings of 2004 and 2008 have another chance to do a tandem crossing. Regards,Jerry | |
