I was also able to switch cabins and move to a D 2 and get a refund for the Mariner April 19, 2009 cruise.

Mar and Virginia, congrats on your savings! John and Phil (Virginia knows them) also downgraded from D-1 to D-2 and ended up next door to me. If John's snoring comes through the walls, I will die! He was my roomie on Monarch once and let's just say it was impressive. And yes, he was there with Don's blessing, for reasons that should be obvious.

I just volunteered to be a Resident Expert as well, offered to do Azamara. Even though they want 5 cruises, I doubt that there are many people out there who have sailed AZ that many times. Also as an expert for RCI or Princess, or the port of LA. We'll see what happens...

Jean, you would be great! I emailed Tina the lines we've been on and how many and she assigned the board. No other info than that though. More to come I'm sure!

I actually don't have anything technically booked at all! I keep seeing some really good rates for Mariner in March, but I need to use up these dang timeshare points, so that's probably what we will be doing other than the July cruise.

Evening everyone................had a very eventful evening here.

Son called about 5 and told us that he put the handle of the snow shovel through the window on the storm door leading into the house as he was shoveling snow (yes, he takes after me!!). So, Jim goes over to pick him up and they both go to Lowe's to get a piece of Plexiglas to fix the it.

As they are walking out of Lowe's son gets a phone call from his MIL that she is taking Rachel (DIL) to the emergency room...............they think it's a kidney stone. Luckily Lowe's is right next door to the hospital...........so Jim takes son there and then goes inside to check on what is happening. Rachel was in terrible pain, but after a while it subsided. She was drinking lots of water and had to pee really bad, but they made her wait until they got her into a room.

I tried to keep thinking positive thoughts that it was indeed just a kidney stone as she has had problems before.

After dinner, since Jim had the window frame and all the fixins in the truck............brought everything inside..............fixed the window.........then went over and put it back in the door where it belongs. At least this was one job that did not require outside repair.

Son called us about 9:30 and said that they were just waiting for the doctor to come in and release her. He said they heard another heart beat when they did an ultra sound..................YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a much more relaxed evening than I did.

Made it to Tx safely.........only a couple stops to feed the boys and actually made really good time........

Looks like a fair amount of action today.......had almost 4 pages to catch up on!!!

I'll have to think it over and then see if it's possible!

Everyone's surgery went well....had dinner with the fam..(always a circus event!!)...definitely felt sorry for the couple next to us.......LOL

Time to catch some zzzzzzz's before the twins wake up for another feeding...

I'm up early, Jim had to sleep hooked up to machines last night, for a sleep apnea test, so we didn't sleep very well. Hopefully he got enough sleep to get the test results.
