QM2 Independence Day July 1 2009 - Roll Call

I can't wait. I am really looking forward to it. To the biggest dancefloor afloat, ,afternoon tea, the planetarium,etc And to meeting you and the rest of the freeks Pam.

Speaking of acting classes, Tony has anyone ever told you that you look like Sean Connery? Especially with that tux on.

Susan, the Planetarium ROCKS!! I went to all three shows on the transatlantic and loved every one!

Tip for the scavenger hunt...well for one since are are sophisticated adults I think I am officially going to call it "The Fox Hunt" That way if people stop you to ask what you are doing you can tell them you "are on a fox hunt care to join?" While I am still figuring out the finer details and rules the object of the game will be to find the "fox" by first searching all of his favorite hiding places to flush him out. Once they have been found you report back to "start". In order of arrival you are given the chance to answer a trivia question about the ship. The first group to find all of the hiding spots and get the trivia question right effectively traps the fox and wins a yet to be determined prize. So brush up on your ship facts and get familiar with the deck plans for the best chance! More details to follow once I iron them all out! (warning this may change a few times!)

Hmmm this is getting more and more interesting. Will we be matched with those that have sailed with Cunard before?

Nina - This sounds like a lot of fun!
I don't care about winning...but will certainly learn a lot about the ship!
I hate that last day feeling "oh wow...wish I had known about this BEFORE!" lol

Tony - yes, I'm really looking forward to this trip as well!

I am excited about the planetarium!

I have a history of falling asleep in planetariums! LOL...

Funny you should say that I was on a walkabout at an Australian Movie theme park and there was a guy dressed up as Austin Powers. I was taking a photo of him posing with my son and girlfriend and he saw me. He shouted out to the crowd that here was James Bond , and that he had tried to model his career on me.

I was actually waring a hat like Sean Connery when he played Indiana Jone's Dad. If I find a pic I will send a PM.

I use photobucket for hosting my images on this message board.

Is there no way I can just attach a photo , like all the photos that other people have included from time to time that does not require a link ?

Wow, what a list of folks. I'm looking so forward to meeting all of you! I feel as if I know you all already but to actually shake hands and meet will be great. I am also excited about seeing fire works in Boston! It will be a patriotic emotional experience for me I'm sure! Even sailing by the Statue of Liberty tears came to my eyes!

I can't wait!!! We'll have such a great time together ... and I'm with you Lona Lee, it'll be a tear-jerking patriotically emotional adventure.

Hope you had a great trip out west! I suppose you are now stuck at the computer working when you should be outside enjoying the nice weather! BYE I'm going now! Anxious to see you in July!

It's still a bit nippy outside - might have hit 45 degrees high today - although I vow to take the cordless phone and laptop computer and work on the deck once we can reach a high above 70 degrees.

Tony, you can use the host an image button on the tool bar. I think it is the sixth button from left.

Click the host an image button, than click the browse button on the new window, then find your picture and double click on it.
Then click the "Host it" button in the same window. Third window pops up with urls- copy and paste the middle url into your post.
