| Actually, the wife is the Cruise Freek, I think I'm just the bank. I was an airline exec. and retired after 30 years, so travel is not really my thing any more. However, the DW loves to cruise and spend every waking moment on the run with one shore excursion or another.
Wife just returned from a couple of weeks as a single in the giant Penthouse Suite on the Celebrity Millenium. Now she doesn't want to think about smaller cabins. That sure limits her choices for the future. I don't think there are many other suites that can handle parties for 100 and have 1000 foot wrap around balconies. Oh well, its only money!
If she or I can answer any questions about that suite or the Millie, or Celebrity, please ask.
Glad to have found this place.

| Hi Irv, Welcome to the boards! I love the Millenium, and we''l be back on her in May but not in the Penthouse. I've been to a few parties in that suite, and boy is it ever nice! I can't imagine getting off that ship if I was in that suite. We've got a group sailing on the Celebrity Eclipse May 21, 2010 out of Southhampton to the Canary Islands. I'd love to see ya'll join us on that trip. Glad that you joined us, Kelcie |

| Thanks all for the fast and friendly welcome and the invitation to join you on the Eclipse in 2010. Unfortunately, we are always last minute bookers. As I said in my introduction, I am retired airline and we find we get the best value for our dollar by being flexible and waiting until 90 days or less before a cruise.
You never know on which cruise we might pop up.
Kelcie - You are right about not wanting to get off. Also, the PH does include a few strange things, like people who try to follow you into the suite and start taking pictures! Or how about dropping your kid's shoe from a higher balcony onto the PH balcony and then, when you rush down to get it, push past the butler and start snapping away with your camera. | |

| OMG, Irv, I can't even imagine people doing that. I would think that when people are leaving the ship on the last day, they could ask the stateroom attendant if they could see the room, but I can't imagine people just trying to get into your room. We were in the cabin adjoining the PH on Millenium once, and the couple who cruises with Celebrity 5 or 6 months every year was in it for a couple of back to back cruises. They were lovely, and invited us to a couple of cocktail parties, but otherwise, I never would have seen the suite. I hope Celebrity gives you a discount on that suite, as the brochure price can be very pricey. I wish I could book last minute, but have bosses to answer to, so have to book far out in advance. I look forward to meeting you and your wife someday on one of the cruises. Take care, Kelcie |

| I would love to be able to afford one of those suites, but it will probably never happen unless somebody gives it to me. I would never think of trying to get in to take pictures, etc. That room belongs to the person cruising in it. It is that person's home. Would you do that to their home on land? Or in a hotel? I don't think so. Some people are so rude. I loved the Millie also. The only thing I did not like was the sunset suites. No, I did not have one, but there was constantly a band late at night in the fantail bar behind the buffet. Talk about not being able to use your neat balcony at night... I wanted to relax in that space and a band showed up. I went back to my normal, small balcony. |

| well on the ncl majesty last year i went up to have a massage in the spa which happens to be directly behind the stage of the theatre. i'm lounging out with some aromatherapy and all of a sudden the band starts playing as if they were in my room. very poor planning. |
