Anyhow, what I said was that I plan on being slim and in shape by Christmas 2009 so Patrick, get those dancing shoes ready! Marina, I'll dance with you whether you're slim or not!! |

| Nick, A big part of the Holiday season for us is the 9ft live blue spruce we cut down every year from a local friend and display proudly in our home. The smell, the warm glow a fake one just doesn't cut it for us. So, I am trying to figure out how to bring it onboard. Actually, yes, I will be decorating the cabin to a degree. Stockings on the balcony Christmas Eve, misteltoe over the door and perhaps a very small tree in the girls room (which I figure will also double as a nightlight) Marina, I gotta tell you, I LOVE the banana!! I can't help but laugh every time I see it. I want one for my desk! (Can you picture me trying to set up a luxury cruise for someone with this looking at them?) | |

| Is anyone else traveling with extended family? Brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc? | |

| My sister will be coming for sure (I needed an excuse to bring her so we came up with "nanny") she might invite a cousin. If my parents enjoy the 4th of July cruise I might be able to convince them to come for Christmas too. | |

| One thing I'm curious about is Category AA, has anyone traveled in AA? Seems like it might be an since upgrade especially with grill-style, one setting dinner... But, being that high up on the ship, I have a feeling there might be movement issues and my Mom is a bit seasick prone. Any thoughts, recommendations? |

Besides booking her in the boiler rooms lower down? (Sorry you're rubbing off!) I haven't sailed in AA but it is probably one of the best values on the ship. You get the flexible dining and more attentive service at your meals like you would in the grills and a few extra amenities but at the price of Britannia. However, if your mum is of the more sensitive natured you may wish to forgo this if she plans on spending considerable time in her cabin. BUT, the lovely thing about the QM2 is she can always find plenty to do on the lower decks if the seas are a bit rougher. You can also book midship which will help with the movement. My husband gets motion discomfort just looking at water so swears by his non-drowsy dramimine (sp?) one in the morning and one at night and he is good to go! | |

BUT, we can try for the holidays again in 2011, right?! Oh brother, you mean we have to sail with the OMG crowd? Oy!! Well, it's a big ship...besides, if we all ban together, we can make our own fun and not have to deal with them. I'd love nothing better than to grab the Royal Suite before you know who!!! Think she'll throw a complete hissy fit if I do?!?! LOL |
