A group idea for far into the future....Christmas Group 2010

Would anyone be interested in a Christmas group on Explorer of the Seas out of Bayonne, NJ for Christmas 2010?

A bit far into the future to really commit but, pending dates and approval for time off from work during that time, yes, I'm interested but, I voted "maybe" since I can't give a solid yes yet.

We've been talking about this for a few years now and, I think by 2010 we'll be ready to actually book a holiday cruise. So my vote is yes!

Strangely enough there is something appealing about flying North to cruise back down South. And, I do enjoy the Voyager class ships. It might be a hard sell during the holidays but, I think I can do it. My vote is yes.

I'd like to STRONGLY suggest to our group leader/TA who ever that might turn out to be... That it would be a much easier sell for my family if our trip North includes a night or two or even three in New York City. I have a feeling that might apply to a lot of people.

I was just gonna say,why would I want to fly up north(into the cold and snow) in Dec?? But adding a few days in the city might be nice.......

Starting kind of early aren't you Brian? LOL Only teasing, I love that you're enthusiastic enough to start planning this early. I've actually taken Explorer during the Holidays and, yes, I'd love to go again. I do think the suggestion of adding NYC for a few days prior to the cruise would help sell the idea better, even though this sailing is always a sell-out anyhow. So we'll leave the poll up and see how much interest it stirs.

There are Christmas trees, garland, and poinsettias every where! Holiday sailings can be a lot of fun! So thanks for getting this group going!

Brrrrrrrrrrrr - no thanks!! First the holidays are an impossible time for me to travel due to family commitments. Secondly, I'd need more than New York City to talk me into sailing from a cold weather port. Third, I'm not sure I'd enjoy the holidays away from home. And, lastly, Christmas is almost always the most expensive time and crowded time of year to cruise. Thanks but, no thanks. I do wish you luck in forming your group though!

What's up with CC? Nearly every single group cruise is on Carnival. Haven't they heard of DIVERSITY?!? That's why I'm enjoying Cruise Freeks, something for everyone! Ok getting off my now and voting YES to a holiday cruise on EOS in 2010!

As long as my girls would only have to miss one or two days of school at most, my vote is yes. Will let you know next year after the 2010 holiday schedules are released but yes for now.
