This is for those who are booked or are thinking about booking
our Oasis of the Seas cruises - this includes the Inaugural AND our Halloween Charity cruise in 2010.

Inaugural Oasis of the Seas
In a word, YES, there are a few cabins still available (as of September 6, 2009) but, don't wait
much longer, they are disappearing rapidly and, more than likely it
will be completely sold out by the end of September. Mainly balcony
cabins remain at this time. Contact Susan Schaefer at susan@shipsntripstravel.com for pricing and availability.

For more information in general visit our dedicated website: http://oasisoftheseas.makeswebsites.com/

Inaugural Pre-Cruise Party
Apparently there is a lot of confusion regarding who may attend the party.
If you are a registered member of Cruise Freek Forums you CAN attend.

You do not have to book with Susan nor do you even have to be booked on
the ship to join us. We do have spaces open but they are going fast.
Yes children are invited, however, the price of $35 per person remains
the same. Booking forms are available by clicking the form below and
the party is refundable until NOVEMBER 1, 2009 not November 1, 2008!

To be eligible to win the door prizes you MUST be present at the pre-cruise party. To see our door prizes visit: http://oasisoftheseas.makeswebsites.com/3/events.htm

Halloween Charity 2010 Oasis of the Seas
Some of you have alerted Susan and me to the fact there seems to be a
problem with the booking form for the October 30, 2010 sailing. I am
working to solve the problem, in the meantime, a fax version is now
available at: https://cruisefreekforums.forumotion.com/Halloween-2010-Cruise-Oasis-of-the-Seas-October-30-2010-FAX-h104.htm

And, at this time, no we do not have confirmation of our Celebrity Chef,
however, we are currently engaging "possible" appearances from some
major Food Network stars. Do not take "possible" to mean guaranteed,
however, we are working hard to make this happen. We will announce our
celebrity chef the minute an agreement has been reached and a contract
signed.

Door Prizes Vs. Silent Auction
Many of you seem confused regarding the difference between our Door Prizes and Silent Auction for the Halloween cruise. Our Door Prizes are as follows:

  • Dinner and A Movie - $150 Value - One $50 AMC Movie Theater Gift Card plus $100
    Outback Steakhouse Gift Card

  • Shopping Spree - $250 Gift Card for Macy's
  • Grand Prize: $5,000 Gift Certificate, Valid For 1 Year for New York City Vacation Packages
    (http://www.nycvp.com)
To be eligible for these prizes you must be booked on the October 30, 2010 sailing of Oasis of the Seas and attend our private party. There is no charge or entrance fee to win these prizes. Door prizes will be drawn from tickets distributed at the party.

Our Silent Auction will work a bit different. We are raffling off two cruises on Cunard
with our formed groups. The first trip is a Transatlantic sailing in Spring of 2011 on Queen Mary 2 and includes 2 nights pre-cruise in Paris and 2 nights pre-cruise in London. The minimum opening bid is $500 - the package itself is worth over $6000. If you win the bid, you win
the cruise! And all funds raised willl be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. So,
for example, if the winning bid is $5,000 - then $5,000 goes DIRECTLY to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The second cruise is a Baltic Sailing on Cunard Cruise Lines with Ship and Date to be
announced in 2010 and includes 2 nights pre-cruise stay in London. The minimum opening bid is $1000 - the package itself is worth over $9500. If you win the bid, you win the cruise! And all funds raised willl be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. So, for
example, if the winning bid is $7,000 - then $7,000 goes DIRECTLY to the
Susan G. Komen Foundation.

WHAT IS A SILENT AUCTION? An auction is like a sale--You have a chance of
buying the two cruises described above by making a bid, that is, you offer an amount of money
that you would be willing to pay. Another person may come by and want the
same cruise so he/she may offer more money, making a higher bid.

At the end of the auction, the person with the highest bid goes wins the
cruise. It will be as simple as signing a sheet and placing your bid.
However, we need this to be taken seriously, please do not bid or make
outrageous bids if you cannot or will not follow through with the
purchase. This is one of the major fund raising events for the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation we are holding on the October 30, 2010
sailing and we need bidding to be done by only those who will follow
through.

I hope that clarifies things a bit! For more information about our Halloween cruise please visit: https://cruisefreekforums.forumotion.com/Sail-Towards-A-Cruise-2010-Halloween-Cruise-h93.htm
