Hi everybody, Thanks for all the love. It helps believe me. We just got home and I'm finally relaxed in my jammies. I drove home this morning from DD's and showered so we could get going again. The service was beautiful. Wonderful music and lots of pictures and memories. I told Bob if he and the kids do half that good for me I'll be very happy. It really was a celebration of Rhoda's life. Lots of laughs in between the tears.

Barb I'm sorry you had such a bad week. I understand fully having been in the business so to speak.

Chris, I can't wait to see your new DO. I bet it's cute. It must be easier than all that long hair.

My Grandeur experiences are all similar to all of your's. Brolen rudder 8 hours late into Baltimore, Hurricane Rita and missed ports. I told Captain Rob that he and I should never sail together as something always happens.

I intend to sit here all evening sippin' and surfin'

I guess we might be ok on the Grandeur...Shorty won't be with us and Shorty, I do hope you are relaxing and enjoying your sipping after a rough day.

Jill - If we do that cruise, and we undoubtedly will, we will have to come in at least a day early if we want a non-stop flight. At least that's the way it looks now, but with all the airline changes you just never know.

GOT OUR CRUISE DOCS!!! One change...they switched our Boston to LV to an earlier flight on AA instead of Delta, which actually works out better.

As for my hair...well my hair is very thick and course and it has a mind of it's own. Took over two years for it to get as long as it was, but I really got tired of it. Will color it tomorrow and cross my fingers that I can manage it. I just loved it yesterday for those few short hours LOL.

BAH!!! Really took a look at the e-tickets for our flight home. The time worked great, but instead of a non-stop from BOS to LAS, we now have a 3 hour layover in Dallas/Ft Worth.

Morning! Does anyone own a GPS unit that they love? I'm thinking of getting one for Ray's B-Day, but can't tell the difference between one or the other except for the size of the screen! I do know that our Exec Asst at work had one when we went into Chicago this week and it didn't seem to refresh very quickly when we didn't make the turn it suggested!

Susan - Looks like that offer is for someone who doesn't read the small print.

Diane - The three hour layover was what Martha told me so I checked again and it's an hour and a half.

Susan.........I have a Magellan gps unit that I bought around the time they first came out. I LOVE it......"Maggie" goes where I go. I have her programmed for all my fav stores in Chgo and Los Angeles. The important thing to remember is that you want it to have the maps already programmed. Some gps units are cheap until you have to buy a map at $100 for every area you want to go to. I paid wayyyyy more than they are worth now, but considering how many times I've used it in LA and would have rented a car with one, I've more than paid for it. So I'm still happy. Also they are a smaller now....but Magellan over Garmin in a heartbeat in my opinion.

My bil came to FL from SD and got off the plane and the guys laughed cuz he had his gps in his pocket... new toy so he brought it with him. He said he couldn't shut it off unless it was plugged in....I picked it up and turned it off....he didn't realize you had to hold the on button in til it goes off!!!...We matched maggie for maggie to see what routes they would bring up.......

Thanks Jul, that's good info. There was a small article in today's Trib Travel section about them and they stated that the Garmin was Consumer's Reports best pick, so it's interesting to hear you say Magellan over Garmin. I'd much prefer personal recommendations!

Hi All, just checking in--the weekend turned out busier then we expected. Ken's brother just finished the week long bike ride across IA and spent time with us today before heading back to AZ.

We got our Jewel DOCS yesterday, it does make the trip seem closer.

Just now starting to rain so no more outside activity today--later

Yes, as Jill said, the Enchantment has a great CL and they also added a Chops during the "stretch". IMHO, they also have the best Boleros in the fleet, or at least they did the last time we sailed her! Awesome Boleros staff, who really got involved with the crowd and danced with us. At least once per night, we did a conga line into the Centrum area! Fun, fun, fun!
