RCCL Explorer Christmas 2010 Cruisers - Pre Cruise Poll

The pre-cruise stay in New York would be the only reason we'd book a cruise from a cold weather port in December.

Ok so a least the majority like the idea. Now's going to be a matter of finding a budget that will work for the majority. Hmmm, no TA assigned either, might not happen for a while now since 2009/2010 has been just released. Tina told me to check back in about 6 months and ask again.

We can comfortably do up to $700 per night with a two night maximum but that figure includes meals and activities.

How about the Holiday Lights Tour I keep hearing so much about - anyone up for that?

Couldn't you just offer two or three different hotels for different budgets? Is there some type of rule everyone has to stay in the same hotel?

Agreed, this way more people have the option of taking part in the pre-cruise package. The idea here to beat the pants off anything that CC might start We have to make our group look so appealing people won't think about booking anywhere else.

We should also plan a Meet and Greet!

Did everyone get the Cunard 2009 Christmas Email? I'd LOVE to be able to have something similar, maybe take the hotel down a few hundred dollars per night but, I think they have an EXCELLENT plan!

Agreed, they did a wonderful job! I thought I was going to be able to book that sailing but, my scheduling at work isn't going to allow it, kind of bummed about that but, hoping to make EOS or whatever ship is out of NJ in 2010!

The cruise sounds great but we would arrive that day. New York is just too big and crowded for us. We have already been to NY and that was once too many.

I will have to look into that cruise though..................sounds wonderful.

Carole, just wanted to make sure you know we're forming this group for Christmas/New Year's in 2010 Nonetheless, I hope you can join us because I know we're going to have an awesome experience! If the holiday sailings turns out half as good as what's planned for Genesis, everyone will have the time of their lives!

yes, I knew. If it were 2009, we would have to think hard since I already have one cruise in the pan for March. Still might do a Nov cruise too though. my military kids will be here at Christmas. I wont miss that for ANYTHING - not even a cruise.!!

2010 sounds wonderful. Plenty of time to think, look into other cruises and make a decision one way or another.
