2010 Christmas Cruisers - Your Input is Wanted

Another activity I thought of for us newbies to NYC is a bus tour that does all the highlights, like Statue of Liberty etc. I'm not sure if they even have that in the winter.

Oh I got my cruises mixed up (what a problem to have). In NY...well I would like to be with someone who knows their way around. So I think group functions would be fun. Safety in numbers in all. I mean it is NY and you never can tell about those Yankee folks. I know their is a China Town in NY but is their a little Itally? That would be fun for those of us that are WOPS.

I forgot Tina is trying to get Butch to come along. Damn if he does we really WILL have a police escort! And, Ron, what type of medication are you taking? Is there a little Italy? Of course there is!!

You funny little man. What kind of meds am I taking?? It would be easier to list the ones that I am NOT taking. The answer to that is asprin.

Yes it is available but, if there is enough demand, you might be better off chartering a bus for the group - just a thought!

Well as much as I would love to do the ice skating and more physical activities I will have to pass. That being said I look forward to the NY experience. Sleeping on a bench, peeing on a wall, taking a cab.....getting shanked in an alley. You know all the fun stuff...

What am I thinking. You guys can do whatever you want. However, I would give my legs for a ride along with the NYFD. That would make my life. It would be my last ride but I would be going out on top!! Any stations I can visit near where we will be Nick?

I want to go to an FDNY station myself. I want to visit ground zero as well. I owe it to them. If I don't get there next Dec pre-QM2...we'll get it done in 2010 or both!

Hey Pete, I am with you brother. If this is something that still interest you in 2010 let me know as I want to go as well. I think I owe them that much. I was on duty the day it happened. I will never forget....never.

Seems like there will be more time to visit in 2010 since there will be 2 pre-cruise days in NY. I'm doubting I'll see either GZ or FDNY in 2009. (be we'll see) My brother is going on QM2 and he's also a Firefighter who loves seeing this stuff.

I've lost track have they decided what to do with area? I've heard a park or build new towers? Anyone no the latest?
