OK, I have noticed a significant trend in the the under 40's market. It used to be that cruisers from age 20-40 were only* interested in ships with lots going on (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, NCL etc) but be it our changing world or changing cruise demographics I am finding this age range is requesting a return to more traditional times, at least in their vacation options. It used to be only the "older" (by comparison!) cruisers who resisted the changes in formal nights to "Optional Formalish" nights and set dining times to whenever you want and dance classes give way to onboard surfing. (Not that these are bad just different)
Now more and more people in this younger age range are wanted to sail on ships like Cunard, Regent, Celebrity etc but are worried they will be the only young people aboard and won't fit in.
So, purely as a matter of discussion and debate at this point. What would everyone's opinions be on forming a society or group within CF of people under 40 (hey, had to draw the line somewhere!) that cruise the more sophisticated lines together?
Any suggestions for a name for the group? (Young Explorers Sailing Society (YESS) was just the first thing I wrote down)
Any in put to what the group should be like?
Get your creative juices flowing and let's see what we can come up with (if anything)
