Nick, I haven't heard. I got five emails from her this morning, but the last one was about 2 hours ago. I hope for her sake she's in recovery, and feeling better very soon. I think her twins turn one this week as well. I'm amazed she was able to get the group together this morning with everything she has going on.

Candy hasn't had her surgery yet. I go an email from her a few minutes ago. She said she's trying to answer all of her emails about the Canary Islands. I'm sorry that the weather is so miserable there for you. We are really warm here today, but supposed to drop 30 degrees tomorrow. I can't even picture what a blizzard would look like since it is so rare we even see snow. Please stay safe and inside if possible.

Just came back in from Blizzard Coyote...(what a name)
Truck doors nearly ripped off in the 45-50 mph winds. Can't see anything. Wicked.
The snow blows right through the door jams of the fire truck to the inside. Crazy!

Are the vehicles equipped with special equipment besides snow tires/chains to go out on duty without risking your life more than usual? What is the visibility like?
I'm really interested in how you can do your job in such foul weather.
