Christmas 2009

So what categories is everyone booked or plan on booking? If you're trying to avoid Nick I'll try to keep him to the lower decks! We're probably going to book Category B on Deck 6 - so that's the deck most of you will want to avoid!

We're more than likely going to down grade to Princess Grill for the first time in many years. Mom and Dad are giving very serious thought to the World Cruise in 2010 and, they're going to try to snag the same cabin because the World Cruise starts the day we return from Christmas.

Leanna - thanks for the warning! I'll keep off Deck 6 at all costs!

G'Day - haven't been here in a while and still thinking about making the long flight to the States for Christmas in 2009. So I thought I'd check in, say hello and catch up on what's being planned.

Hi Dawn! Hope there isn't any overly serious happening with you. I'm sorry you won't be joining us in 2009, you'll be missed.

Getting ready to book in the next week or so - who's joining me? Nina, I'll email you on Monday, we're just seeing who is coming and who isn't - I know we're at least 2 cabins and we'll probably take Category A so we can be in the main dining room with everyone.

Hmmmm, I don't see any missing posts for me. Must have been a system glitch. Anyhow, anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

Dawn, you will be missed perhaps some more positive things will turn up for you in 2009 so you can either join us last minute or at least come for one of the 2010 sailings. Please keep coming to the boards. There are lots of things to talk about besides just these couple cruises! If you need anything we're all here for you!

Yes there are always things to discuss including the new Queen Elizabeth!

Cruise Freek Members booking the QM2 for Christmas - you are hereby cordially invited to my parents annual on-board cocktail party. I have the go ahead from my Dad to let you know that our annual cocktail party on QM2 will be taking place on the 21st or 22nd, depending on what Nina can arrange for us.

Everyone that books with Nina is invited! For those who are new or haven't sailed with my parents yet, this is just something they do - they're very generous and like to treat others to something a little special during the holidays. Since our circle here has grown, more than likely we'll have it in a private room and not in their stateroom - no one will be able to turn around if they do!

So come one, come all and look for your on-board invites!

Hello All - Greetings from across the pond on what has been a glorious day for weather with the remainder of the week promising to be just as nice. And, speaking of beautiful weather, it's a picture perfect day here in NYC but, very surprisingly Rome hasn't been all that hot this week, in the mid 80s. Anyhow, it's nice to be home for a bit, well, Rome is home too but, this is my true home

I see I have lots of reading to catch up on so that's how I'll be spending my time on here today...

Can't argue about the weather in NYC this week, it's been perfect. Now watch just because it's the long weekend and I said that - it will rain!
