| I grew up on the St Lawrence and even sailed on it USS Fahrion (FFG) .People under estimate that river and its powerful currents and icing in the winter months. We loose divers, snowmobilers, and boaters every year. It has also had quite a history with everything from U-Boat attacks during WWII to the sinking of the Empress of Ireland which claimed 1012 lives. Its a river not to be trifled with thats for certain. | |

Much like the Red River in North Dakota... maybe a "little" bigger. |
