Westbound TransAtlantic Proposal in 2011 with London/Paris

Here's the proposal: In the Spring of 2011, fly to Paris, France for one or two nights for an escorted tour of the city of lights, followed by a train ride through The Chunnel on EuroStar to London for a night or two, and, then finally down to Southampton (England) to board QM2 for a Westbound Transatlantic sailing.

Hmmmm, certainly something I wouldn't have thought about but, kind of like the idea especially the Paris/London pre-cruise, that would be the main incentive. Put me down as Maybe

I would be very interested as well. It's been a long time since I've taken a Cunard Transatlantic.

Ginny and I did and East bound which had a 4 day period before being able to take a West bound back.
That was awesome!!!! We flew to Paris from South Hampton because the Eurostar was so expensive ,and
we could fly to Paris and get there more quickly. I would stongly recommend crossing both ways ,and
like everyone else time and money become a factor. However, I look at a crossing as part of the vacation
not a mode of transport like a plane so if its twice as much its worth it. Also, if you do your research
sometimes you can find a cruise ship on a repositioning and often those prices are competative with
air transport.
