| Afternoon everyone,
Weather here is cloudy, but quiet..................for now. Have been watching the weather channel and it is coming............just don't know when and how much. We should be more snow tomorrow when Lake Erie starts to rev up. It will be interesting as the Browns are playing the Buffalo Bills here in Cleveland. Don't know how many Buffalo fans are planning to make the trip............it is a big game for both teams..............but I have a feeling that many might just be staying overnight.
Have a great day............will check back later.

| Happy weekend everyone! Thank you so much to all of you who sent the beautiful Christmas cards! This will be the first year I haven't sent any out at all. Ray is mad at me and says it's rude, but I just don't have the time or energy! I am in the Spirit though! Went to a nice holiday party last Thursday and was invited to my old office party yesterday. It was fun to go back and see all the chaos. They just hired someone to do part of my old job and he cornered me and asked me to help him! Poor guy. They pretty much said, here's your desk, take care of all this stuff and walked away. He has no clue where to even start! I spent about 30 minutes with him and gave him my new business card. I was in the holiday spirit remember? !! We've had a lot of winter weather since T-Day. Snow, sleet, rain, ice etc. Today we are getting snow, although only 2-3 inches are predicted. Sheila, your kids are probably being hit hard. 6+ inches predicted for the south side! I hate to even post this recipe, but it is sooo easy and quick! Patti, I hope you and Willie will forgive me.... Take a cookie sheet and line it with parchment paper. Open a bag of pretzel rings and lay them out on the parchment. You can pretty much fill the sheet, no need to leave room in between. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Open a bag of Hershey's kisses. The Hugs ones, or mint ones are best, but any flavor will do. Unwrap the kisses. Put one kiss in each pretzel ring center. Put the tray in the oven for about 3 minutes, just enough to get the kisses soft, but not completely melted. You want the chocolate to stay in the center of the kiss and just melt enough so it sticks to the pretzel. Open a bag of red and green M & M's Take the pretzels out of the oven Press one M & M in the center of each Kiss till it flattens the kiss out Cool in the fridge (or at my house, set the tray out on the frozen porch) until completely cooled and the chocolate is hardened again! They are kind of inside out chocolate dipped pretzels. Yummy, without all the dipping! The kiss melts and fills the hole of the pretzel and makes a cute treat! And except for unwrapping the kisses, it takes about 15 minutes to make about 60+ treats! | |

| Tried to get photos of the ship for you...but they don't do it justice...trees all over the ship...garland and centerpiece in Centrum Hi Everyone, WE are back! It was a quite cool trip, but we were prepared. Ran into another Polar Bear, Peggy (Seayousoon) Segerstrom on the ship. Had a wonderful time...our table provided lots of laughs every evening.....quite a bunch of characters! Did a little shopping in Ensenada. After the Crown and Anchor party, Travelgoddess and DH invited several of us to their Suite for drinks and we all laughed so much I was hoarse for about 24 hrs!!! Hey Jean, since when did the Monarch become "yours"?? Ha! You are gonna lose it next October! Have to tell you a funny story....I had a Nuclear Treadmill on the 5th of Dec. and I was reading a poster on the wall of the Doc's office...that said to be sure to get a letter if you are traveling, which I did and then forgot all about it. When we were going through Customs yesterday, we got up to the officer in the booth and a little black box on his belt began to buzz and a little light turned on. He asked us if either had a medical treatment in the last few days and it dawned on me that they were picking up the Thallium residue...so I luckily had my letter on hand. They were very nice about it, but took us into their office and separated us to determine it was me and not Bob or our hand luggage. Then we had to wait while they called my doc's office to verify. While we were waiting, every officer that came into the office...their little black belt boxes would begin to buzz. I laughed and said that I hadn't had that kind of reaction from men in awhile! They all laughed. I guess I am lucky I don't glow in the dark! After it was confirmed by my Doc, I said that I would take another cruise after my "half-life" had dissapated(sp?)..they laughed at that too. But seriously, it made us both feel safer about Customs and passengers carrying what could be nuclear materials for bombs. New credits in the D/D+ Value Booklet for 20% off digital printing and burning your digital images to a CD. Hugs, Mar~ | |

| Welcome back Mar and Bob, Glad you had a good time. It does my heart good to hear that they are so diligent about suspect materials. Bob says it was your magnetic personality that set the boxes off. |

Chalupa......1 box of velveeta 1 package of taco seasoning 1 can rotel 1 can refried beans 1 can tomato sauce 1 # browned hamburger I like it as dip with tostitos or take tostitos and pour some on them and top with cheese and lettuce (kinda like nachos) but when I first had it=it was served on a tostada shell with cheese and lettuce on top......... off to continue wrapping........I would like to see my guest bed again and at this point it's buried with things to be wrapped. jul

/quote] Thank you for remembering Jul. Yes, I will be AARP-qualified on Thursday. I'm basically ignoring the whole thing! Ray bought me an airline ticket to FL to visit with my Dad for a few days, so I wouldn't have to be home for any unexpected surprise parties, but we've had to cancel the ticket since I took the new job. I haven't told anyone there it's my birthday and I'm hoping their personnel dept or should I say guy, isn't one of those that announces it to everyone!

| Thanks for the good wishes. Retirement sounds good right now! Our snow advisory has been upgraded to a heavy snow warning and now we are expecting 5-7 inches by the morning. Poor Ray worked all last weekend and looks like he'll work this whole weekend too! Retirement sounds even better to him! | |

| Just thought I would stop by and see what's going on before I log out. Susan, if Ray wants Christmas Cards sent out......let him do them! I don't think it's rude at all........we know that you are thinking of us. Hopefully I'll be able to get mine done and mailed next week. Love the recipe for the pretzels. Will definitely try it. Sounds almost like when I make the non pariels...........take a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and arrange with semi sweet choco wafers.........put in 200 degree oven until they are real shiney.........take them out and spoon the little colored non-pariels over them.......pop them in the freezer for a few minutes and they are done. Remove from wax paper and shake loose non-pariels off. Mar, besides the gorgeous looking couple (you look just marvelous in red), the decorations on the ship are beautiful. We will definitely have to do a Christmas cruise sometime..............it just looks so festive. We didn't have much snow yet....................BUT..........they are predicting blizzard conditions starting overnight and into tomorrow. Have a great evening and...................... | |

I was busy baking today, Swedish almond bars, apricot bars, and made another batch of english toffee. Jim got called into work tonight, a water main break somewhere, so it's hard for me to sleep when he is gone. More baking tommorrow! Have a good Sunday everyone! Jen

I said I HAD A BABY????? Where is it??? Jeez...... Anyway, thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.......I really appreciate your friendships....... | Morning Bears! Welcome back Kathy and glad you are on the mend. Take it easy and relax. Your hospital stories would be funny if they weren't so sad! And my B-Day is this week, so you didn't miss anything! I looks like we got almost a foot of snow, well, at least accumulated. Probably 7-8 inches yesterday. I can see it stacked up on the pool's diving board! Just spoke with my Dad and he said they are having a cold front, maybe 40 overnight! And he reminded me that my sister went up to Ontario on Thursday and is coming home tomorrow. Hope the nor'easter doesn't impact her plans! She is breeding one of her dogs. Long story... but the short part is at the last minute they decided to do it "live" and she took off on Thursday! Off to the post office to drop off my passport renewal... yes, I got a post card and they are open today! Then getting my hair done and a little shopping. Have a great day all!

| Hello fron snowy..............and I do mean snowy...........Northeastern Ohio. We do have blizzard conditions and a lot of blowing and drifting. I have two bay windows in my kitchen dining area............one set faces east and the other set faces south. Of the 6 sections (3 per window)................4 are completely snow covered and I can not see outside. The wind is horrible and a little scarey at times. If anyone happen to watch the Browns/Bills game today............you got a good idea of what the weather was like. We are east of there and now are getting lake effect. UGH!! WELCOME BACK KATHY..............so good to hear from you. I was going to send you an email.....but thought I would wait until you are feeling a little better. Just take it easy.............you do have a cruise coming up. Gotta run.............check back later. | |

| Patti..........sorry you're getting wallopped.......cold but sunny here.....and I am counting my blessings that we didn't get the snow we were supposed to.....we were predicted for 8"....didn't even get 1/2".....guess that goes to show how bad the weather predictors are. Finished up the stocking shopping.......NOW it's TIME to relax and enjoy Cmas...... j | |

| Welcome back Kathy, glad to hear that you are on the mend. Marilyn, beautiful picture, I'd say you look good in red but, you look good in any color. The ship looked rather festive too. Patti: I caught some of the game looks like you ought to put a pot of soup on and snuggle in. Well, I need to take care of some stuff before I call it an evening. Short week this week as I have jury duty Tuesday and have Friday off in preparation of the trip to PA on Sat. Chat in the am. d | |
