It's a glorious day today in So Cal. The high winds blew away all of the smog, without fanning any fires, thank goodness.

MIL is undergoing surgery on her elbow, FINALLY. I do wonder why the surgeon thought he needed to wait 10 days. It's not as if it was going to heal on its own.

I'm still waiting for my docs for the 4/19 Mariner.

I like polish on my nails, but I can't wear the acrylics anymore - the chemicals make my fingers itch like crazy. Jen, can you polish over gel or is it meant to be natural? Also, do they scuff up your natural nails before they put it on?

Jean, I think they do scuff up your nails first, but the chemicals seem a little less harsh, and yes you can put polish on over it if you want color, then you just need to sit and let them dry like normal. I actually haven't had them in awhile, but my sister has them.

Well, my "RCCL Cruise Specialist" Jeffery just called and wanted to know why I put the SA cabin on hold and then cancelled it yesterday! I drive him nuts!!!! I'm always holding a cabin if a see a deal and then cancel it when I come to my senses and my checkbook starts yelling at me!


HOLY Crap! I just checked out the Tuesday special and it's down to $679 p/p for a balcony!!! How can I stay home???

They booked the cabin, but at the full price instead of the protected price that they promised. They were supposed to start adjusting on March 9, and the whole process was to take 2-3 weeks. I'm waiting for something to have gone wrong and have them come back and say they can't honor the price. That would be typical...

I used to do the same thing and "Glenn" calls me.................got to the point,I quit putting them on hold cuz I didnt want him to call................

absolutely NOT. I have been hoping we will get upgraded on the San Diego to Alaska leg, but it is looking bleak . I have it marked on my calendar to call 2 weeks before we sail.

Years ago when I was mgmt one of my employees got me a paper-weight it said "What Does Boss Spell Backwards? you turned it over SSOB.

I've had opportunities to go back into mgmt since starting at Perot 20 years ago and I've always told them NO and in some cases H--- NO!

Even with the hours I work I'd rather be doing what I do then futzing with some of the HR issues my team lead does. I'm his back-up, hate to think what would happen if somehting happened to him.

ok I know you meant MARCH 29th, right???? so IF the upgrade fairy calls you have to be there? someone on the last cruise said they call the D+ desk 2 weeks before, not that the D+ desk calls them. Since I have never done that, I have no idea how it works. guess I just lied, I did get that stupid upgrade worth $20.00 on the Oasis sailing we are not doing. That should not count as an upgrade.
