I edited the list so it would stay at the top of the page. Anything else I need to fix right now? I think this will be an amazing cruise with lots of new friends. I'm with Pat, I absolutely love surprises!

Nevermind.... You are right. It's 15 cabins right now. Someone is tentatively booked, so I don't want to say who it is...

Tenerife has a chilling sound to a pilot. The greatest loss of life in any plane crash happened there, where one 747 tried to take off in the fog while another 747 was still taxiing on the runway. The Captain of the plane trying to take off (without clearance) was the chief pilot for KLM, and was known to be an arrogant SOB. The co-pilot was rather young and was afraid to say anything, even though he knew that it was wrong to attempt takeoff at that time.

Airlines now look for new pilots with enough backbone to stand up to such things. Example: I had two former students who were applying for the same job. The one with the most hours, and better hours did NOT get the job because the other guy had a lot more backbone.

Hopefully we'll get a few more to come with us before it is all said and done. Flutepilot, I totally agree about flying into Tenerife. I have friends who have a vacation apt. there, and it scares them every time they are flying in, but they still go. Luckily, we'll be sailing there, which makes me feel much better. Rveryone, please send Candice good thoughts today, she's finally having her surgery. Best wishes Candice on a very speedy recovery. Pat what categories don't you understand? I'm pretty sure I know the lingo for this ship.

Pat,
The site usually takes several days once they put a new ship online. Don't ask me why. I got in my reservation number once, and then tried again two days later and got the same message. It's also possible that Celebrity will give new reservations numbers to the group as opposed to individual reservations. I'd give it a couple of more days then email Candice. What questions did you have about the different categories? Flutepilot, I know Candice is grateful that people are sending her good wishes and prayers. I imagine after a week in the hospital, she will be glad to have this issue resolved and home to her family. Her twins turn one tomorrow!

Okay, just took a shower... They're supposedly wheeling me away in 3 hours for the surgery. Thanks for all of your good thoughts and prayers.

Pat - What do you want to know about categories? I would be happy to post information once I get it from Celebrity. The deck plans and stateroom descriptions still haven't been released, although I've been told it is going to be exactly like the Solstice. I tried to log in to Celebrity with my number, too, and got the same message. the Eclipse isn't even active on Celebrity's website. "Tentatively" means "maybe".... I've got someone booked, but there MIGHT be a schedule conflict. Once we find out if there is a conflict or not, I'll be able to confirm whether or not they are booked. As for deposited bookings, no. We've got 15 bookings. Two of them are deposited. That is mainly because I am in the hospital and haven't been able to get the credit card information over the phone. But, if there are any people that want to make their $900 deposit before 1pm, please call me in the hospital at (631)654-7511. I would be happy to take care of you. By the way, Pat, I only charged one deposit to your credit card. Was I supposed to charge 2? And did Susan get my email? I never heard back from her. Yes, this is DEFINITELY a "go".

FlutePilot - I don't know your real name. Sorry. I saw the crash you mentioned on TV. it wasn't the crash-- Just the devastation afterwards. I didn't realize it was Tenerife. Are you coming on this cruise with us?? I hope so!

Sure wish I could. My income just barely allows one cruise a year, maybe every other. I was lucky enough to win the Rock the Waves cabin, so that got me posting here.
