Since I really really really hate to fly and I will be doing it next year with my niece and I'll have to actually act like a grownup so she won't be scared on her first flight, does anyone recommend any particular airline? I can leave out of Newark or Philadelphia so almost all lines fly in and out of there and I'll be going to Fort Lauderdale so I don't think I'm too restricted outside of it being AerLingus.

Hi Pat,

My personal favorite airlines (if any airline can really be called a favorite) are American, United and Southwest. But it your best bet is to find out which airline uses Newark or Philadelphia as a "hub" they usually have the most flights in and out and hopefully a better price.

I'm always jealous of those who can drive to port. Though I can only imagine how much luggage I'd be hauling if it wasn't for the airline restrictions.

We can all drive to the port. It would just take a few days... Laughing

And...it's much more dangerous, and scary to drive!

Pat,
I love Southwest. They have several non-stops from Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale. There is also no charge for luggage. The staff has always been friendly and usually provides at least one good laugh.

I am looking forward to flying SW on April 1 because it will be hard to tell what they will do.

I really will be an experience... Susan (Ivanova) and I will be flying together to Fort Lauderdale for Cruise3Sixty. Our husbands worry when we get together. We have a little too much fun sometimes. Laughing

When I fly out of a U.S. airport, I prefer JetBlue. The flights are smooth, the crew are very friendly, comfy seats and i love the TV on the back of the chair in front of you.
