| I don't remember ever having watched a complete show, was it at all like an actual cruise ? | |

| Depends. On your actual cruises, do complete strangers meet, fall in love and decide to spend the rest of their lives together all between Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta? The show took place almost entirely on the ship, and also the LA port and occasionally at the Mexican ports. I think it gave an idea of cruise life, but it focused on the biggest suite cabins and the most glamorous aspects of cruising. One of my favorite things was how everyone got to sit at the Captain's Table at least once a cruise! Of course, it was a much smaller ship... | |

| yeah, if real staterooms looked like the rooms on Love Boat we'd all be in heaven Also these days the "fraternizing" between crew and guests would not happen (without consequences at leat). |

| I assume the crew are allowed to fraternize amongst themselves ? | |

| I know that my brother-in-law and his wife almost took jobs on a cruise ship about 12 years ago. They ended up not taking the jobs. On one of the cruises I was on this last fall several of the entertainers were married. I also know someone who met his wife on a cruise ship while he was working in the entertainment field and she was a bartender! | |
