| That's ok - it happens! I just got the CNN breaking news email here @ work. (signed up for that after 9/11) At least they have a LOT of rescue workers there and the ferry boats were right on scene. | |

| Hadn't heard that. Going to turn on the TV. Reminiscent of the Potomac crash quite awhile back. | |

| It appears that everyone made it safely out of the plane. The pilot and rescue crew apparently did an awesome job. | |

Oh good! I couldn't find any survivor updates. Just that they were ferrying them out. http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=6656804&page=1 |

| Miracle everyone got out...especially in the water! Bird strikes are very common, and sometimes they do enough damage to drop a plane from the sky. Looks like this may be the case....pre-investigation of course. What's the deal with airplanes today! We had a close call today too...total hydraulic failure. Current temp: -10F. Our firetruck froze up waiting for the landing. Here we are in action earlier today. | |

| Individuals who believe they may have family members on board flight 1549 may call US Airways at 1-800-679-8215 within the United States. | |

| I saw it happen! I was in Manhattan and I don't know something made me turn around and look up and, I have to tell you, when I saw that plane, my heart dropped. I thought, here we go again...
Thank God it wasn't another attack and that everyone got out safely. That pilot is a hero and, it is a sight I won't soon forget. | |
