Being that it's snowing and we're in that time of year, I figured I'd start a thread about the playoffs and superbowl for 2009. So besides me, who is planning on watching the Giants/Eagles playoff game today?

Should be a fairly good game but, I think the Giants are going to take it all the way to the Super Bowl.

Hoping to catch the tail end of the Eagles/Giants game today, and, looking forward to the Steelers/Charger game tomorrow.

Besides with Springsteen performing at half time, I don't care who wins at this point! We have the Boss!

Super Bowl half time shows are usually pretty bad though. Hopefully we'll get to see a Steelers/Eagles superbowl. Now that would be a fun one.

We'll be on RCCL Indy for the SuperBowl. Can't wait to see what it's like to watch it on a ship. Very Happy

I'm hoping that the Super Bowl is for the birds. That's the Ravens and Eagles.
I'm in Maryland and my wife is from Philly.

No matter what, the game will look great on my new 52" LCD TV. Despite all the work on the boards here, I managed to find time to install that and the new home theater system this weekend. I couldn't pass up the deal that Amazon.com had with 24 month interest free financing.

Come on over. You'll have to put up with a lot of dogs around though. Remember we foster dogs and they spend their time in the family room and kitchen. Currently we have 8 fosters plus our own two. Should be a couple less by Super Bowl day.

The only issue I have with Baltimore is that their play is pretty boring. They don't put up many points, and that's what people want to see in the big game. Not that Pittsburgh is much better though.

And man that sounds like a lot of dogs. Is it tough to give them away once you've had them around for awhile?

It's more than we normally have. One of them moved to a different foster home this evening. Another is in the process of being adopted.

Some dogs are harder to give up than others. What gets you through it is knowing that if you don't let them go, you don't have room to help some other dog. We've probably had 150 - 200 different foster dogs in the last 5 -6 years. Only a couple of times did we come close to "failing Fostering 101" (wanting to keep the dog).

Steve,
Just out of curiosity what type of dogs do you foster. My friend fosters Border Collies in VA. That is where we got our Border Collie Sophie.
