| Going on the Carnival Destiny in about a month. We are stopping in Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk & Nassau. We have been to Grand Turk & Nassau on other cruises, but I'm still wondering what to see in Nassau. We have done the history tour with the pirate museum. Thinking about heading over to Atlantis. Any pointers? Towanda | |

| Towanda, I've stayed at Atlantis - it is an amazing resort! If you're taking your kids along, they will love the pool area - Atlantis has a HUGE casino, a wonderful beach, the restaurants are outstanding... You're making me think I should book it again as a non-cruise vacation. My personal recommendation for not to be missed at Atlantis - Dolphin Cay - that's the get in the water with the dolphins program there! Here's the link: http://www.dolphincayatlantis.com/ |

| Yea....ATLANTIS! We picked up a taxi tour right on the pier which took us to ATLANTIS. He charged us $25 each, and took us all over the island to the sights. He gave us a guided tour of the resort and included admission to THE DIG. (aquariums) This place is really cool! We stopped at quite a few places, and did some shopping. It was one of the best bargains ever! ATLANTIS is well worth a look...you will be amazed. "The Bridge" suite goes for $10,000 per night. When we were there, Nicolas Cage was supposed to be in it. | |

If you got all the way into the Digs, you did get a good price.....it now costs $30-35 to get in............when we did that $25 taxi tour,we didnt get admission to go into the Digs........ maybe,by chance you got there after five, when you can get in for free?? |

| We got to Atlantis in the late morning. Price was included in our tour of the place. This was Feb 2007, however. Driver gave us a tour of all the aquariums, and even knew a lot about the things we were looking at. I thought it was a great bargain! | |

| I've been to Nassau once, several years ago, and the only thing I remember is getting some beads braded into my hair. We will be in Nassau soon and thought there must be more things to see. Then, I read somewhere, can't remember where, about a glass bottom boat ride for $36 per person. That sounds like something different to do; the time posted for this is 1.5 hours. We may try this; not sure.
Hope you have a great time.

| We were on this cruise in November with a group that my dh belongs to. That same group is going to be at Breezes-Nassau next year. (I was hoping for another cruise to get me to the magic number 10, but doesn't look like that is going to happen). Anyway, they organized an excursion there for us for the day we were there. You know to try to sell us on the idea for next year. I think it is $80 or so for the day if you want to do it yourself. It is an all-inclusive with some sports included as well. If you aren't going to eat or drink a lot, then it is an expensive day on the beach. Towanda | |

| The Dig at Atlantis is so worth it. Also just walking through the casino and the lobby is just beautiful. The glass work is awesom. | |

| Nassau is becoming my favorite port. Things we love to do --Atlantis (get a room at Atlantis and spend the day as their guest). We love the water slides. --Blackbeards Cay Stingray Adventure - AWESOME board a boat and get taken out to a private island where you swim with stingrays --Dolphin swims I reviewed Atlantis and Blackbeards here... http://www.cruisingwithchildren.blogspot.com/Beaches --British Colonial Hilton (get a day pass at the front desk) --Cable Beach - there is a stretch of public beach next to Atlantis. Take the water taxi for $3pp and follow the crowd. The only problem is that there are no public restrooms on the beach, but there are bars/restaurants that you can use the restrooms --Wydham Cable Beach - all inclusive day passes available at the front desk for pool, drinks, food and beach Ardastra Gardens --See the flamingos http://www.ardastra.com/What do YOU like to do? In Nassau you can get organized tours to swim with sharks, stingrays or dolphins. You can just relax on a beach. You can take a walking tour (I have the tour plans if you want them). I can tell you that I don't love glass bottom boat tours. I got sick on one once, that was enough.

Kathy - was it you or Carol (Merion Mom) who did Breezes recently? I remember reading a review about Breezes. Said it wasn't worth the price. Was that you or Carol? (yes the advanced age is taking my memory too ) |

| I like Nasssau too. Had a good time there...and Atlantis is really something. I was there at the height of the Anna Nichol Smith frenzy after her passing. The locals liked Anna a lot, and made it known. | |

Kathy, Where did you snorkle with sharks? Our Oasis cruise goes to Nassau, and we have been to Atlantis twice, on land vacations. That sounds exciting! Michele, I am off to read your review of Blackbeards, have never heard of that either. Thanks for all the suggestions you guys,(and gals),makes me a little more excited about stopping there. |

| Hi Michele, I think that my quote blurbed the whole post together! I was asking Kathy(PH8) about Stuarts, and was asking you about Blackbeards. But thank you for the link to Stuarts. It is something my Daughter would love to do in Nassau! |
