Little OT here, but your last question got me to looking at the Ellis Island website..........I did a search for my grandmother and found the records........she came over in 1911 when she was only 19(single).......and the ship she came on was only 9939 tons!!(515 ft long)........

No wonder they got seasick all the time.......

I found it very interesting(I could see her passenger record, the ships manifest and the ship picture and info).........

Thanks for asking that question,Pete!

Pete,

The site you want is http://ellisisland.org/. It has most of the ships manifests from Ellis Island and you can do a search by last name. It will then show you the actual manifest. I was able to find one of my grandfathers. Not his original immigration but when he went back to Poland to bring one of his brothers to the USA.

Giving you the answer since no one has guessed and I may not be on much the next 2 weeks..............(going on a cruise Jan 30th then again Feb 5th),so someone else can ask the next question.

Broadway, originating from Lower Manhattan at Bowling Green and ending in Albany, is one of the world's longest streets at 150 mi (241 km). The official name of this street is Highway 9.
