| I won't know if I can book this sailing until after January. How is cabin space looking within the group? Any chance I'll still get a cabin if I wait until after the Holidays this year? | |

| Hi PaulyWalnuts,
Right now we still have plenty of room in the group. And when you are ready to book if the category you want is not available in our group space, we can book it in individual reservations (assuming it's available there) and then transfer it into the group space. |

| Hi, I'm booked, somewhat tentatively I admit, but booked and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a flower child at heart, hence my name flowers. My parents dont really want me to go out of Florida again, last time my father fell and we needed to get home fast. He is 90 now and my mom is 82.
I have a question. I have a RCL cruise booked next April, at which time I could buy an extra Next Cruise certificate. Does anyone know if you can apply it to a group cruise for extra OBC? I don't have a spare one at this time. I can ask the TA at a later time.
My other question, which I don't think anyone can answer at this time, Susan said she wasn't sure of the answer. As most of you know, any bookings after 11/10/08 for 2010, the fuel surcharge will be removed. I asked if we cancelled and then rebooked, would we get the fuel surcharge removed and Susan didnt know at this time. Since the group space and group was formed prior to the date, the group space may still be liable for the fuel surcharge, even if booked past the date it would be removed on regular individual bookings. Hi Susan, I see you are a host here and the booking agent. You wear multiple hats.

| Hello!! (yes I wear many hats; so many that I lose my head occasionally) NextCruise --- it can be used to book into a group according to RCCL --- there are some restrictions involved, but it can be done. Fuel Surcharge --- I confused them at RCCL when I asked --- after 11/10/2008 RCCL will release more information about the fuel surcharges and how it'll apply to groups. So for now, we don't know for sure. |

Hi Susan, I see you are a host here and the booking agent. You wear multiple hats. Hi and welcome! You'll find things much freer here on Cruise Freeks than other cruise boards. Our board hosts are also our travel agents which makes it nice, you get to know them, they get to know you and, you feel like you're making a real connection in a much more personal way. Plus they usually travel with the group their escorting, another bonus! So just jump in and post and ask questions if you like - we're a friendly bunch here Steve

| Yes, Im a trouble maker on another board. 3 warnings so far, all one after another. Clearly, I'm a bad bad troublemaker. Last one was for telling someone I got a warning ..... and got a warning for that because that was commenting on how the mods do their job. eek!!! You'all better watch out for me, clearly, I'm trouble. How did you know lol. I lived in Boca Raton before I moved back home and I have a friend there I would probably go visit, assuming things are ok at home and I can do the Oasis. I'v already emailed her to tell her it's possible I might be visiting S. Fl in 2010, 2 years from now??!! That would be fun to see her. I can't think of any other questions off the top of my head, but if I do, I'll for sure ask. I'm a cruiseaholic, I readily admit it. I loved Voyager class, so I'm betting I would love Oasis. Been reading some about it. Iv also been dying to go to Florida and do a couple of quick short B2Bs and get to diamond so I can get into their lounge and some of the other benefits. It's a hard choice between getting to diamond or Oasis and I probably can't be gone long enough to do both. 2 Years seems like a long time before this cruise. Im still just reading thru some of the earlier posts here and catching up. | |

| Once we get our confirmation, with the category we are booked in (duuh forgot to ask when I booked) do you have a block of cabins you pick from or do we get to pick from what is available? I'd probably pick from the highest deck available in the category. My choices on the form were mid, fore or aft, not higher vs lower, or is it assumed most people prefer higher decks. See, I told ya I'd have questions. I started to prowl around and looked at deck plans last night. | |

Linda Im not totally decided. I think we can still change. I wouldnt be platinum until April and qualify for a little balcony discount. The closest ship I'v been on is Voyager and will have a PR next time. The PR cabins cost more than balconys on this Oasis cruise, go figure, they sure are popular. We wished we had a PR the whole time last cruise, so doing it this next time up. Susan said a PR on our date is $1200. My sister wants a PR, so I'm going to watch and see if they allow us to change if prices come down. I'v only been on one group cruise. Caribbean Princess Jan 2007 and prices went down and we got a reduction before our final payment. I'v heard Oasis bookings are slow, so could that happen here if prices drop? I'm not sure how RCL does it though. (told ya I'd have questions, sorry). I cruised a few times way back when, and then only the last 2 years, so lots I don't know. Hi Linda and welcome to the group. Seems like a very small group so far, but we have 2 years.

| Just think - 2 years from right now we'd be partying on the ship!!! Based on room availability, you can definitely change your room categories or room number assignments. If prices do decrease across the board, we would be able to get the group bookings adjusted. Same thing applies for resident rates and senior citizen fares. Now if it's some kind of WOW sale or such that has restrictions (i.e. applies to new bookings only, cannot be combined with groups, etc.) we won't be able to adjust the group bookings. More than likely RCCL won't make any severe adjustments this far out. |

| PR is an interior room with a window overlooking the promenade (inside shopping area).
There are not many of them on Oasis, so higher demand and smaller supply make them pricey compared to some ocean view and balcony staterooms. |

| Really!! I saw Samantha Brown on the travel channel a while back & she did this same itinerary on the Freedom of the Seas. We loved the ports & the cabin she had overlooked the promenade ~ very nice ~ but I think a balcony over looking the ever changing view would be great!!
Thanks for the info.

Linda Linda, I just answered you on the other, sorry had to run Halloween candy somewhere Home now. Oasis has some cabins, Susan will know the category I bet, that have inside balconys over the park. The PR cabins were so successfull with the window seats where you could watch the parades, that Oasis they added balconys overlooking the inside. Thats why fewer PR cabins on this ship, because of the balconys inside. (Susan will correct me if I'm wrong ) I think you made a great choice, deck 7. On the previous ships with the promenade, deck 7 is supposed to be perfect, in between other decks so you wouldn't get as much noise. I loved the promenade myself and the promenade cafe!!! lol We have two years to study up and know the ship.

| The balconies overlooking central park are categories C1 and C2. And then the balconies overlooking the boardwalk are B1 and B2. |

| Susan, a question - I can't commit this far out. However, let's say I do find out I can make it. I know you're almost sold out of your group space as of now but, what chance do I have of being part of the group if I book say next May or June (meaning 2009). Would you be able to get me into the group? Or how would it work? | |

| Vinnie,
Even if my group space is full and RCCL won't let me add more ... as long as the sailing isn't almost sold out (code yellow or red by RCCL's terms) I can book you in an individual reservation and then pull you into the group that way.
If we ever hit code yellow/red on the sailing, I'll work with Tina to see what we can do to work around that. |
