Deposit: Princess has revised the deposit requirements for 2009/2010 to be based on a percentage of the cruise/cruisetour fare rather than a flat amount. The deposit for all trades [geographic area announcements] will be 30% of the cruise fare for all voyages including the World Cruise and any segments.
For passengers booking the Full World Cruise or segments longer than 44 days prior to June 1, 2009, the deposit will be split into two payments with 10% per person for the initial deposit and the remaining 20% due on June 1, 2009.
The deposit for passengers booking cruisetours will be 25% of the cruisetour fare.
Deposits are due according to the standard policies as follows:
• Greater than 4 months prior to sailing: 3 days
• 4 Months – 14 days prior to sailing: 24 hours
• Within 14 days of sailing: Payment due at time of booking
Moral of the story, when Jeanie sets up sales days with $100 per person deposits for our 2010 cruise for 4th of July week, take advantage of it!

I'm presuming that if you have an open onboard booking your previous deposit is still sufficient to hold the cruise? Or are they getting rid of the open bookings?

Yes, if you have an onboard booking, your previous deposit will hold the cruise, but you will need to pay the remaining portion of the total deposit due.
