I have posted the "dresses" thread on my Mariner thread and they are just about dying looking at the chain mail dress, etc. Didn't knw that Carnival had topless decks until recently....glad we decided not to travel on them after our one trip on them years ago...I want to be able to enjoy my "sunny-side-up eggs in the AM if I am in a window seat parked next to Carnival!!!!!!

I have awoken the last 3 AMs to swollen and pink, itchy eyelids. Got rid of all the old eyemakeup and now have new. Taking Zyrtec as well...but I think this is an old liquid makeup issue....trouble is that we have been out 4 nights this week and had to put on makeup which probably didn't help.
Today am without makeup and hope this will subside.......IT ITCHES!!!

Have been hearing a lot of stuff about the mid-west weather in all our threads.....MAN! It is awful! Everyone keep safe! Nancy...hold you and Ken are doing OK.

Pier 22 is located at the end of 22nd St and Harborside Dr on Galveston Island, the docks for the cruise ships are located around 25th, I think. Here's another URL at contains a map:

It's good to know they'll do one-way air, it may make it easier for us to cruise. Of course we could get sick of doing Voyager.

Been out and bout this am...........home now in the nice cool a/c........it is way too hot out there........think its about 100.........its disgusting......

Not sure when Jul heads this way,but hope I didnt miss saying BON VOYAGE to her....Have fun and enjoy!!If you see a friend of mine say hi from me and Dennis...I just got an email from her.She'll be on the SS till next Friday..She is a bartender/waitress(either or) and usually in Boleros,the Casino or the Schooner Bar.She is Philippino and has very short dark hair.Her name is Priscilla..

What a scary night you had Nancy........tornadoes are really scary but I would imagine at night its worse,,,,,,,,you cant see them coming.........thank goodness for the radios.........I need to get one of them myself

Nancy, glad you and Ken are okay. We had a few scares over the last few days. Unusual for this neck of the woods. We don't have a basement so we decided on the hall bath since it has no windows. Luckily we dodged the bullet. Hope the weather is calming down for you. It's supposed to be in the 90's here tomorrow.

I started swimming seriously yesterday. Did 20 laps today. Boy am I feeling it tonight.

Kathy........didn't miss me yet!....Leaving Sun am early....busy tonight trying to pack up and make sure I have everything I need.

Nope not spying just noticed that your id was up, that's all. If I see it I say hey! I never use the away either unless I lock the PC. Which is a requirement while at work. Government regs.

Greetings from Connecticut! I had a good flight on Jet Blue - they have some extra legroom seats that you pay $20 for going from Long Beach to JFK, and it was soo worth it! I packed a good breakfast and lunch from home, so I even ate well. And the flight attendants were quite nice, in marked contrast to the Continental ones last weekend. Plus when I got to JFK there was a Prime Time shuttle driver there and he had one more seat, so I didn't have to do my usual 30+ minute wait. Traffic wasn't even bad for a Friday night! So everybody else has gone to bed and I'm 3 hours behind, so I'm wide awake.

Jul, have a great trip, wherever it is that you're headed! Mar, good thinking to get rid of the old makeup. I do toss my mascara (mostly because it's gone solid in the tube, LOL), but I tend to hang on to powdered stuff for a long time.

D.........sorry I missed ur im......I was scrambling trying to pack and make sure I didn't have to hurry and do laundry. Not only do I have to pack me, but I have to have dh's bag ready for him when he leaves on Friday.....hopefully he'll remember his utility bag otherwise we'll be at Walmart!

Chris,...this eye thing is clearing up very slowly, but I don't intend to put on any makeup for a few days....ARRGH! Will scare a few people!
And if it is not significantly better will go to the Dermatologist. IT ITCHES! Using Caladryl for the Benedryl in it to sooth that!

I still think the gal in " the dress" fo chainmail is a Princess-Leia-wanna-be, and that the guy is an I-wish-she-were-Princess-Leia...hence the CC name Dark Jedi. Through all the discussions of them on the threads, it sounds like they are into "threesomes" and that the cruises those pictures were taken on were"swinger-type" hence the "PS" in the front of their cruises in their cruise history. And I didn't know that Carnival had topless decks for sunbathing. At least they didn't when we were on them years ago. But I guess that has gone by the wayside too. And least I forget, while on Sydney layovers I discovered that after 10pm all kinds "adult" things show up on public TV...and that couple is Australian.

Bob and I did one cruise years and years ago on Carnival and never went back. There was a "beer chugging" contest at the pool and several got very drunk. One young woman was rubbing herself on a guy and then proceeded to put down his swim trunks in front of families! That did it for us!

Mar: You look great with or without make-up...Like I said before, you are one "classy broad"...On our first Carnival cruise (late 90's) the top deck was topless...Never went up to see what was going on!!!

Patti: Back from the craft show, lots of hand made jewelry and signs (ala it's 5 oclock somewhere)...Needless to say, I did not buy anything...
Dave took me out to Olive Garden for soup, salad and breadstick lunch yum, yum!!

Sheila: Still have not gotten a formal invite through the mail, but we are not going. There are several of the original Liberty pre-inaugural folks that are going, but, I can not justify spending that much on air and hotel even though we feel honored to have been included...We will have to live vicariously through them...

Patti, I'm visiting my dad and stepmother. I've been meaning to do it all spring, and finally pulled the trigger, so to speak. It's quite warm out, so I'm just loafing in the airconditioned house. My pioneer ancestors would be ashamed of me, LOL.

Jill, I'm not going to go, either. Even if I could justify the cost, I can't stand the idea of another cross country flight so soon.

Work all done and now maybe I can focus on packing.........I'm sure I'm forgetting SOMETHING....
