A group idea for far into the future....Christmas Group 2010

Again, IF NYC could be included as a Pre-Cruise package, I might have any easier time selling the idea to the family. I have to vote maybe at best.

Like so many have already stated, if NYC can be added as a pre-cruise package, the maybe vote I cast would probably change to a yes. Also depends on school schedules for the kids.

Like everyone else has said in order to make it appealing enough to book, I'd expect a one or two night pre-cruise stay in New York, possibly with activities such as a Broadway show or Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Without something such as this, there isn't a lot of incentive to cruise from a cold weather port.

Wonder if it will be EOS or if by 2010 we'll have a different ship in NJ? Doesn't matter, it's a great idea - keeping my fingers crossed that they move Freedom up to NJ

Even though I'm in NJ, the idea of some pre-cruise activities in NYC sounds like a lot of fun, I think it's something to put to a vote, don't you all agree?

Something pre-cruise in NYC would make it much more attractive...

I'm very impressed. You guys actually are going to have a Christmas cruise on mainstream line in 2010?! I've seen many people try to get holiday cruises organized over on "the big board" and, it usually ends in disaster. This year CC doesn't have a holiday sailing as an option. Too many cranky pants who scream it's too expensive. Just the fact you guys are this organized and this far out. Like I said, I'm very impressed! I'm very interested and will be watching and hopefully contributing to this thread regularly.

Actually, there is a Christmas group cruise offering on Princess for this year and one for next year on Cunard that are going strong Cruise Freeks seem to be good at offering the popular sailings.

And all I can say to that is THANK YOU CRUISE FREEKS! Finally a place to get group pricing during peak weeks!! Don't the other boards realize peak weeks are peak for a reason? Or aren't those of us with kids or who work as teachers important enough for the other boards?

How is EOS holding up? By 2010 it's going to be getting up there in age. Kind of hoping they'll move Freedom or one of the newer ships up at that point.

This is one is a very strong possibility. Just hope Royal Caribbean still has a ship in NJ in 2010 for year round cruising.

Maybe all depending on scheduling of the sailing.

This group is taking off like wildfire!  I'm amazed so many people are willing to commit 2 years out!

Hey Princess 4th of July 2010 just got their TA assignment, wonder if we'll be getting ours soon. Anyone know how this works? Do we have to request a TA?
