Thought I'd ask my UK friends about this ...
I'll be in London in 2 weeks, and thinking of getting an Oystercard for my travels around town. Just wondering what the difference is between the blue card, and a
vistor Oystercard.
The website gives info on how to purchase one, but it's pretty vague.
(Maybe I'm not looking in the right area ??
)
Also, why the distinction between the two parties? ... resident and visitor?
Everyone knows that it's easy to get a MetroCard in NY. Just put money in the machine, and hop on your train. No asking if you're a local, or passing thru town.
I've been scratchin my head over this for the longest time, and hope someone could enlighten me.
Thanks
