River Cruise in Europe 2011 or 2012 - Interested?

I started a poll about a possible river cruise in Europe in 2011 or 2012. I know we said that we'll do the Baltics on Cunard in 2011. But, if 2011 is selected, we could arrange it so that we just stay in Europe - either before or after the Baltics cruise. Also keep in mind what I have selected as an example is just that - an example, there are lots of other options.

I'm certainly interested! This is something I've always considered doing and never seem to get around to it. I've never River Cruised but, the idea is very appealing to me. It's 15 nights so this one would probably have to be in 2012. I doubt most people will have the time to do both the Baltics and then another 2 weeks for a river cruise. However, I'm flexible - I just thought this was a great itinerary and a good way to see interior Europe.

Please consider me very interested. I've taken River Cruises in the past and, the pace is slower and Viking River Cruises is probably the best of the companies out there. Passengers tend to be a bit older, however, given the demographics in here, I'm sure that will drop significantly with our group. There are only about 100 to 150 passengers on the ship so depending on the response, this could turn into a charter. And, while no traditional formal nights, people do still tend to put on at least a jacket for the gentlemen and a dress for the ladies at dinner especially at the Captain's Welcome Aboard Dinner. Smart causal is the term they use to describe the dress code.

The dining room on Viking Cruise Lines is open seating, even at dinner, so it's a great way to meet new people. I would love to take one of these cruises again and among friends!

Hmmmm, a cruise without a casino, well this would be a first for me but, what better way to see interior Europe? No driving, no hotels, no hassles - might be something to try!
