| Good to hear. Emerald isn't getting the best reviews right now. Mostly staff issues I guess. Everyone seems to love the ship, but not the entertainment and crew. I guess I'll find out for myself! Did you get a coffee card or drink coffee for the piazza area? (the brewed coffee...not esspresso stuff) | |

| How is the coffee on princess? I dont drink coffee but I keep hearing horror stories. We were on carnival in oct and DH didnt mind but I get the impression princess is worse. We will be on princess in 2 weeks and wondering if the coffee card is worth it...I know you can use it on future sailings but not sure when we would do princess again. |

| This is coming from a COFFEE FREEK as well, but Here's my 'cruise coffee' opinion: Princess Coffee: Sux! Carnival Coffee: Sux! Royal Carbbean: Coffee: Sux! It's all horrible, to undrinkable. They should all be ashamed to serve it and call it COFFEE. They use a horrible coffee syrup to make the stuff for the masses in most buffets and eating places. Occasionally...you can find a bar or coffee bar that actually brews coffee in a pot. Cruise lines know the coffee sux...and they make money selling cards to get lattes or better brewed coffee. Most people just drink the swill, change to tea...or buy a coffee card or latte. | |

| Does that mean you will be buying a coffee card? What is your itinerary..I know it's a 10 day cruise |

(the brewed coffee...not esspresso stuff) Pete: Didn't get a coffee card, but one of my cruising buddies had one and I tasted the coffee...It was good, but so was the coffee in the dining room!! I drink mine black and I did not have a problem with it...I also do not have a problem with RCI coffee!!! One word of advice, if you want to see the shows get there approx 45 min early or you will not get a seat...The older folks tend to get there very early and think they own the seat they are sitting in for the whole cruise!!! | |

| Well...yes. I will be buying a card. I will tell you...I'm a coffee lover. Like wine people like their wines...if you know what I mean. I can sometimes sip a coffee...and tell you where the bean was grown. I moderate a coffee forum, and regularly.... Roast my own green coffee beans at home! The reason many like dining room coffee is they usually serve brewed coffee there. Usually. I sometimes book a cruise to get at the source of the coffee bean! (ie...Jamaica, or Kona Hawaii!) That's why I'm mad at Princess for dropping Kona from the itinerary! My name is pete...and I love my coffee. | |

| I too found RCI coffee terrible the first couple times and then i bought a travel mug with me and put in about 1/2 to 3/4 of coffee and the rest hot water and finally the cream was a cream color instead of gray. Now I don't mind the coffee too much at all. But they give you those small cups and it's hard to mix so I bring a travel mug with me now all the time. Plus by the time you get the small cup to your table in rough seas you only have 1/2 cup anyway. | |

| shhhhh. Don't tell the ship staff on me.... but I usually bring a coffee maker with me on cruises! I had to on the Hawaii trip! No way was I drinking crappy coffee for 15 days! As soon as we hit KONA, HAWAII...people were lining up outside my cabin for REAL 100% fresh brewed Kona Coffee! ...and it was sooooooooooo good. | |
