Disney--minus the cruise!

We are taking our first Non-Cruise vacation in many, many years this fall! Our intent is to stay at WDW's Animal Kingdom Lodge and pretend we are really on a safari, since I doubt we will EVER be able to avoid the real deal! Anyone have any AKL suggestions or must dos?

We did not stay at the lodge itself, but did visit the park. We enjoyed the Tree of Life and the "It's Tough to be a Bug" show. Also loved the Dinosaur ride. Didn't accomplish much else while at the park.
